FBI spoilers: Scola navigates fatherhood while Nina joins the Fugitive Task Force
FBI fans won’t have much longer to wait for new episodes to return, and now we have an idea of what to expect when the show returns on Tuesday, Feb. 13. In regard to at least one character, we know one major change is due to another character moving to another FBI franchise series.
At the end of season 5, after a harrowing case that led to all three shows joining together for a crossover, Agents Stuart Scola (John Boyd) and Nina Chase (Shantal VanSanten) welcomed a baby boy.
In the season finale, Scola had to make a difficult decision when a medical issue arose, leading him to have to choose between Nina and the baby. Luckily, all was well, but could this lead to issues down the line?
Agent Nina Chase will be moving from FBI to FBI: Most Wanted so while we won’t see them together as often, this could also lead to more crossovers so we can see the characters together.
What to expect when FBI season six returns to CBS
VanSanten's move comes after FBI: Most Wanted had a cast exit in the form of Alexa Davalos leaving the series. Even though season six of FBI and FBI: Most Wanted will have shorter seasons, we’re hopeful to see how the couple navigates these changes.
In a teaser for the premiere episode, “All the Rage,” it appears Scola will be figuring out how to navigate work and fatherhood. At the same time, the agents will be dealing with a bus explosion that had multiple casualties.
Meanwhile on Most Wanted, Nina will be working her first case with the Fugitive Task Force in "Above & Beyond." It'll interesting to see how the two co-parents figure out how to care for their son and solve cases when they're not on the same team. Here's the full synopsis of the FBI: Most Wanted premiere:
"When a mysterious deal goes south, leaving behind multiple bodies, the Fugitive Task Force heads to Virginia to put the pieces together with the help of a familiar face and new addition to the team, Special Agent Nina Chase. Also, Remy continues to grapple with the aftermath of connecting with his long-lost nephew."
FBI will return to CBS at 8/7c alongside FBI: International at 9/8c and FBI: Most Wanted at 10/9c on Tuesday, February 13.
