Finn has too much going on in Bold and the Beautiful to be Luna's father

I know Friday, March 15's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful has many a Bold fan clutching pearls at the very implication that Finn could actually be Luna's father but let me settle some nerves. Besides the fact that this would mean Poppy slept with her adoptive nephew with him having no memory of the incident which is WILD and definitely something we don't need on the soap, Finn's already involved in an intense storyline, so I think we can rule him out.

Our show could prove me wrong but here's my case. As we've seen from the recent episodes, Finn is dealing with severe grief over the loss of his birth mother, Sheila Carter, at the hands of his wife, Steffy Forrester. They live in the home where Sheila was stabbed. He's not only had a nightmare of the event, despite not having been present, but he's also hallucinating her calling for him from the floor where she died.

Between reconciling her demise with his complicated feelings regarding Steffy's involvement, the writers really don't need to heap on that he's his cousin's biological father and that he had a sexual encounter with his aunt that he doesn't remember. That's just too far and too much for him to navigate emotionally at one time. However, you know what he could handle even with it being a lot, finding out his cousin could be his sister.

According to the spoilers, Poppy has a big request for Finn. Sure, that could be to take a paternity test but, sanity willing, what she actually needs is Jack's contact information and for Finn not to say anything to his mom, Li, until she's had the opportunity to verify that Jack is Luna's father.

Poppy has been trying to fix things with Luna ever since her "mints" led her daughter to sleep with her boyfriend's cousin Zende Forrester. Giving her what she's always wanted, the opportunity to know her dad, might be the only thing that could help get things back on track even if it does mean revealing that she had an affair with her sister's husband.

To be honest, I'm hoping there's a twist and Luna actually is Bill Spencer's daughter. Poppy is sure that he isn't but the timing does work out so maybe this will be the reverse of what happened with Shawna. She'd been convinced her daughter, Flo, was Bill's even though they'd only spent the night together. And she turned out to be Storm Logan's. He and Shawna had been together for sometime before they parted ways but for some reason she hadn't considered that Flo could be his.

In this case, maybe Poppy and Jack Finnegan had been carrying on for awhile, so she's sure Luna is his daughter only for her to be completely mistaken. We've seen how well Don Diamont and Lisa Yamada have acted off each other. The relationship between their characters could be a sweet one and I, personally, have always thought Bill would make an excellent girl dad. I'm manifesting it finally being his time to rise to that title.

Hopefully, we find out more next week and the soap goes nowhere near Finn being Luna's dad. The writers have given us some doozies before but this one would truly take the cake!
