Was it me or did Finn notice that the hug he shared with Hope on Friday, June 14's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful was more than friendly? The good doctor had made a house call to Hope's cabin on Thursday to check on her daughter, Beth, who'd been experiencing flu like symptoms.

Beth didn't have anything that a shot of medicine and some orange juice and water couldn't fix so there wasn't cause for concern that we'd be in for a race to the hospital. No, the writers had put together this scenario to give Hope the opportunity to moon over Finn some more. She'd assured her mother, Brooke, that nothing untoward was going to happen, she simply admires her friend who happens to be a good man and doctor with excellent qualities that she'd love to have in a partner.

Look, there's a reason why Annika Noelle says "Guilty as Sin" by Taylor Swift is Hope's new theme song. Her character is getting carried away fantasizing about Finn. She's also beaming a bit too much at him. After caring for her daughter, accepting her invitation to have some tea, and making friendly small talk, it was time for Finn to go, but Hope held him up some more with an inane request to repay him in some manner.

Humble, and also not looking for anything from her, Finn declined any talk of repayment. But since Hope insisted, he went along with her desire to at least get him to hear her on reaching out if he ever needed anything. They parted with a hug that Hope initiated and, based on Finn's face, it seemed like Hope might have given away her crush.

There was an awkward beat in the embrace that suggested Finn might be putting two and two together regarding Hope's sudden interest in him and his help. He couldn't get out of the cabin fast enough after the hug, leaving Hope to recuperate from his visit and, of course, have a steamy fantasy about what could happen if he returned.

She told herself that she couldn't do anything, that he's Steffy's husband but Hope is missing a key component to this whole plot: Finn has in no way expressed even a subtle interest in her. He already told Steffy she had nothing to worry about regarding them and it was clear he meant what he said. Short of there being a plot twist, this whole ill-advised situation is one-sided.

Finn doesn't think Hope knows him better than Steffy. Nor is he unhappy in his marriage. He's simply kind and, while he does seem to think the world of Hope, he's her friend. There's nothing but platonic vibes coming from Finn and Hope might wind up embarrassing herself if she tries to push for something more than what he's offered, someone to talk to when she needs to open up.
