If you were hoping for there to be even of a smidgen of a chance that The Bold and the Beautiful was laying the groundwork for a romance between Finn and Hope, you're going to want to let that dream go! On Monday, Aug. 26's episode of the soap, the good doctor was so adamant that wasn't a possibility that he made sure Brooke and Ridge knew where he stood multiple times.

Finn came in the CEO's office at Forrester Creations understandably upset and a tad panicked as he explained to his father-in-law and Hope's mom that Steffy had left town and it was all Hope's fault. Brooke has been trying to weather this storm regarding her daughter's behavior, but it's been difficult since neither she nor Hope have a leg to stand on.

It didn't seem like Brooke was holding out for an indication that Hope had been receiving mixed signals from Finn, but if she had been, he dispelled her of that notion. He said point blank that he'd done nothing to give Hope the impression that a kiss would be welcomed. Finn has no idea what kind of fantasies she's been spinning about the friendship he thought they had but they weren't prompted by anything on his part.

He's frustrated that an action that he didn't see coming has resulted in his wife leaving him even temporarily. There also seemed to be an implication that Finn fears their marriage could be over since Steffy has repeatedly expressed how detrimental Finn's bond with Sheila, and now his connection to Hope, is to their life together.

Ridge assured him that Steffy only needs time to herself to think and that she'll be back. Finn, however, is concerned because he doesn't know where she is. Being out of the loop has sent him into a mini frenzy. He's holding himself accountable for his role in this latest issue they've encountered because he once again didn't listen to Steffy when she warned him and it's caused problems for them.

All he wants is for her to come home, but he has no idea that another family member of his has her held hostage. Luna spent her time in the episode securing the cage she put Steffy in. Though she initially tried to deny being the one who killed Tom and Hollis, she did admit to it after being pressed by her boss. Luna is the Il Giardino Killer and she framed Poppy all so she could have Bill.

With Finn in the state that he is, we can likely count on him being the one who starts sounding the alarm that something isn't right when it comes to Steffy's absence. The clock is ticking on her life since Luna certainly has a murderous plan. I'm sure Finn will make it before it's too late but the race to get to Steffy should be good!
