FOX bosses give a clear signal about Bob's Burgers and the fate of the veteran animation block

Fox is making its feelings abundantly clear about Bob's Burgers and other animated shows.

While Animation Domination hasn't been used much on Fox recently, it used to refer to the Sunday Night Animation programming block. Featuring shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers, it was a great time for TV watchers.

With the success of those shows, Fox has been going all-in with more animation. Given the many different animated series airing on Fox now, fans have been wondering what will happen to the Big Three.

Thankfully a recent Deadline article gave us a firm answer from Fox's Network President, Michael Thorn who spoke about the series and its future. When questioned about the possibility of The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers ending: he said he was "very, very happy" with all three shows so chances are we'll be getting renewal news eventually.

Thorn went on to share that: "...We love those shows, we have a great relationship with the creatives from those shows and we have a great relationship with Hulu and Disney. We’re seeing more and more how important the broadcast network is and how important that windowing is and you need a broadcast window for shows to cut through… I think these shows really benefit from being on Fox and I think Disney recognizes that." I don't know about you, but that makes me even more excited for the future of The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob's Burgers.

Fox confirms the fate of its big three animated series.

Given that I've covered Bob's Burgers for almost a decade now, I'm excited to see that Fox isn't ready to give up on the Belchers. In addition, it's nice to know that we'll be getting even more Family Guy and The Simpsons to boot. Then again, The Simpsons might outlive us all as it doesn't seem like an end is in sight for the beloved animated show.

This news feels especially exciting as a lot of beloved series are either getting canceled or coming to a natural end. With animated shows without an overarching plot, things have a bit more flexibility which is why we've seen these shows go on as long as they have. The Simpsons is now in its 35th season and reunited for Season 36 while Family Guy is wrapping up its 22nd season with Season 23 coming next.

Lastly, that leaves Bob's Burgers which is the youngest of the trio with the show wrapping up its 14th season and it's already renewed for Season 15. We also got The Bob's Burgers Movie which has been referred to countless times within Seasons 13 and 14. Even with the shortened season, Bob's Burgers has been giving us quality episodes and sometimes, quality over quantity wins out.

Given how much stock Fox has put into these three series, I don't see The Simpsons, Family Guy, or Bob's Burgers ending anytime soon. Even when these shows do end, there will be plenty of content for us to rewatch on Hulu.
