Last May, Haley Pullos made headlines but not for her work as an actress. The former General Hospital star was in the middle of a DUI investigation. As Hidden Remote previously reported, Pullos was involved in a car accident on Apr. 29, 2023. The head-on collision between her vehicle and another's, after she jumped the freeway barrier, resulted in the driver sustaining major injuries and in need of immediate care.

The actress had been charged with the following counts:

  • 1 felony count of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage causing injury
  • 1 felony count of driving with a .08% blood alcohol content causing injury
  • 1 misdemeanor count of hit and run driving resulting in property damage (which occurred before the freeway accident)

At the time she'd pled not guilty even though edibles and mini bottles of tequila were found in her car, and she appeared intoxicated to first responders on the scene. Fast forward a year and Pullos has surrendered to 90 days in Pasadena City Jail and has pleaded no contest to the DUI charges. She'll be sentenced on July 29.

People reports that the actress will be required to pay $8,260 in restitution to the victim of the freeway crash, Courteney Wilder, as well as serve 5 years probation and 200 hours of community service upon her release. In the time since the accident, Pullos has been working on her sobriety. She checked into a rehabilitation treatment facility after the crash and her attorney Mark Daniel Melnick acknowledged those efforts in his statement:

"Haley is very grateful to the court for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety"

Due to the case, Pullos has been unable to return to the role of Molly Lansing-Davis on General Hospital. The character, now played by Kristen Vaganos, was a recurring part that Pullos had starred in since 2009. Time will tell if the actress will return to the soap world once she's served her time.
