The Ghosts season 3 finale brought us the finale we’d built up all season toward. It didn’t turn out the way anyone expected. Not when you consider that ending.

Caution: This post contains spoilers from the Ghosts season 3 finale.

There were plenty of things going against Nigel and Isaac actually walking down the aisle. One of them was the Australian stripper who Isaac was most definitely into. And when it looked like the stripper was going to die on the property, it was clear that Isaac and Nigel just weren’t meant to be.

Despite having a talk, the two did walk down the aisle. It was actually Pete, who came back from his travels as he realized the drawback to his power, who helped Isaac see that Nigel wasn’t the one for him. Yes, Isaac was the one to say “I don’t.”

What happened Pete in the Ghosts season 3 finale?

Pete realized that the longer he stayed away from Woodstone Manor, the more he disappeared. He had to choose whether he would choose to cease to exist or if he would return home.

In the end, he chose home. After all, he needed to be around the people he loved. Pete’s words led Isaac to realize that as much as he loved Nigel, their love wasn’t something he could “live” with for eternity.

Will Isaac be found in Ghosts season 4?

That wasn’t the end for Isaac. His and Nigel’s decision not to invite the Basement Ghosts came back to haunt him. Remember the Puritan woman, Patience, who Isaac told us about two episodes before? Well, it turned out that she had found her way out of the dirt and into the basement. Patience is her name, and patience is certainly her game.

Flower had met her in the well. It’s clear that Patience holds a grudge, and the Basement Ghosts were more than willing to hand Isaac over to her. The problem is the Basement Ghosts didn’t quite get the details from Patience. As they handed Isaac his “wedding gift,” Patience came up behind Isaac, grabbed him, and pulled him through the wall and into the dirt.

The Basement Ghosts could run to Sam and tell her everything that happened. This could help everyone else get Isaac back, but we know that isn’t going to happen. They collectively agreed not to tell a soul.

And so, we got into Ghosts season 4 with one ghost missing. Will everyone believe that Isaac had been “sucked off,” or will they realize that Patience has come for revenge? Now we have to wait all summer to find out. At least we know the series will be back in the fall!
