What happened to each member of Station 19 in the series finale?

A series finale means that we say goodbye to characters. That doesn't mean their stories are over. Where will the characters go after the Station 19 series finale? What did we get a glimpse of?

We said goodbye to our favorite characters in the Station 19 series finale. We knew Vic was leaving, but what about others? Where are each of the characters heading off to in the wake of the wildfire?

Caution: This post contains major spoilers from the Station 19 series finale

The series finale picked up off the back of the penultimate episode. Theo was rushed to hospital and Maya had to figure out a way out of the flames. That then allowed the focus to be put on the firefighters of Station 19.

It wasn’t just about survival. It was about where they would go after. How would their stories come to an end in the series (and would Marina be endgame?).

Dreams or flashforwards in the Station 19 series finale?

The episode kicked off with us focusing on Theo, and it looked like a fever dream as he fought for his life. As we knew from Grey’s Anatomy, he survived the fallen tree. We did get to see him at the very end of the finale. He’s walking with a cane, but it looks like there’s a chance for him to return to Station 19.

Andy also had a coma dream toward the end of the episode. After collapsing from the fire in a moment that mirrored her father collapsing in the pilot episode, we saw her dream world. She was back at the station and back in the pilot episode. She and Jack were kissing and she felt something in his pocket, revealing that something to be a ring.

A vision of Jack came up behind her telling her how he really messed things up. The two kissed and then Andy woke up. Is this a hint that there’s a chance for her and Jack after the series? I’d be down for that!

The rest of the characters seemed to get some potential flash forwards, although it wasn’t clear if they were supposed to be hopes and dreams or actual flashforwards. When it comes to some of them, can we just take them as flashforwards?

Maya and Carina imagine their future together

STEFANIA SPAMPINATO
STATION 19 - "This Woman's Work" - Andy steps into the station's captaincy as Jack's life hangs in the balance. The team is called to a hostage situation. Natasha fights for her career, and Maya and Carina make a choice. THURSDAY, MARCH 14 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (Disney/James Clark) STEFANIA SPAMPINATO /

Maya was the first to get a flashforward as she focused on what she could fight for. That was Carina, and she pictured Carina giving birth to their child.

Later on, Carina had her own flashforward as she delivered a woman’s baby in the middle of the wildfire. We saw her with Maya, Liam, and their daughter, Andrea. There was another flashforward of all of them together with another little girl, Gianna.

It was an adorable moment that made it clear Station 19 was willing to buck the trend and not bury their gays.

Vic and Travis picture their futures

Travis got a moment to picture a future with a new love and with Vic. It made it look like he was heading to Washington D.C. with Vic, but then he threw us for a loop. He shared that he had to stay in Seattle.

As for Vic, she pictured herself receiving an award for Crisis One. We got an amazing cameo with Dean Miller standing by her, proud of everything she had achieve. And yes, Tracie Thoms’s Diane Lewis was also there say next to Beckett, showing they remain Vic’s biggest supporters.

In the end, Vic thinks that she’s getting on the plane to DC alone. However, Travis is at the airport as well. Home for him is wherever she is, so he is going to DC after all.

Sullivan, Natasha, and Beckett connect together in the Station 19 series finale

MERLE DANDRIDGE
STATION 19 - ÒStarted from the BottomÓ Ð A new chief starts at Station 19. Meanwhile, the crew responds to a young girl seeking help and a call about an SUV flown over a cliff, on a new episode of ÒStation 19,Ó THURSDAY, FEB. 24 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. (ABC/Liliane Lathan) MERLE DANDRIDGE /

Of course, we knew Natasha and Sullivan were going to have a flashforward together. Natasha sees the two of them getting married, with Bailey bringing over a broom for the two to jump over. Natasha’s sister is her maid of honor and Beckett is Sullivan’s best man.

For Sullivan, he pictures himself being rewarded for his fight to help veterans. Considering that heartbreaking episode with the homeless vet, that’s not surprising that he pushed to do something.

Beckett had a heartbreaking moment. As Andy disappeared into the fire, Beckett decided to go off to find her. After all, he had nobody waiting for him back home. Station 19 followed him, making it clear that he could count on them.

As for his flashforward, it turns out that he and Natasha’s sister may get together. They play tennis against Sullivan and Ross, and now it makes sense why Beckett is Sullivan’s best man.

Ben Warren makes a decision on his future

At the end of Station 19, Warren wants to talk to Andy. She knows what’s coming. He wants to return to work as a doctor. This opens the door for him to head back into Grey’s Anatomy.

As for his flashforward, it’s all about his children. All three children. He sees Joey, Bailey, and then Pru graduate. Pru follows her father’s footsteps, becoming a firefighter.

We actually see Pru later on as well. Sometime in “the future,” Maya is the captain of Station 19. She calls everyone to the floor, and Miller-Warren is there. Yes, Pru is a member of Station 19, and it’s just a perfect way to wrap things up. Well, then we find out that Andy is the new chief, which just adds the icing on the cake.

Sadly, there wasn’t a Pruitt or Ryan cameo, but Andy did walk to the cabinet to mark the fallen heroes, with the camera putting focus on Pruitt.

I’m still upset that Station 19 is over. There is some hope for spin-offs somewhere, but for now, we say goodbye to the characters and we have a lot of hope as they all survived the series finale.
