Hope is devastated during the holiday on Bold and the Beautiful
By Sabrina Reed
The week of July 1 on The Bold and the Beautiful will be appropriately dramatic and patriotic as the Forresters and the Logans gather at the family estate to celebrate Independence Day. Though the fun of the holiday won't be the only thing they'll be enjoying. According to the preview, Paris and Thomas will be announcing their engagement to the family.
The couple had planned to share their good news together when they got home but it didn't work out that way thanks to Douglas' excitement when he saw Hope. But, with the hard part of breaking it to Hope and dealing with her reaction out of the way, they can now bask in the congratulations and well wishes of most of the family. Of course, the Logans are going to be worried about Hope and they should be judging from the devastated look on her face after seeing the two kiss.
But don't count Thope out just yet. Hope doesn't seem to be going quietly when it comes to the final say on Thomas' heart. Sure, she kissed him on the cheek in the CEO office as if she was accepting his decision to move on despite how it's hurting her. But they're set to have yet another conversation in said office about their relationship, this time with Paris listening from behind the door.
Thomas, however, has been consistent and clear on where he stands. He said on Friday, June 28's episode that he still has feelings for Hope and will likely always love her but he's focused on Paris and their future. That being said, I did notice that the crux of his issue with Hope is that she is incapable of making the same level of commitment to him that he had to her. If that were to change, I'm not sure how things would shake out.
He's repeatedly said that he loves Paris. They clearly have a good relationship. Would he walk away from her if Hope changed her mind about marrying him? I know Thope fans would answer with a resounding, "Yes!" But I have a feeling her about face would make him angry. Remember, the first time she said, "I love you," to him was when she was rejecting his proposal for the second time. Wouldn't it be equally as hurtful for her to say she does want to marry him, or perhaps even propose to him, simply because he's set on marrying someone else?
But no matter how this all ends up unfolding as the weeks and months speed on, I know it'll be entertaining because this whole storyline is so deliciously mess. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more news and coverage.
