Invincible has already been renewed for a third season

Now that season 2 is over, you may be wondering if the animated series will be renewed for a third season. Well, you'll be happy to learn that Invincible was renewed for a second AND a third season before season 1 even concluded. This doesn't happen to every series. More often than not, we are made to wait weeks (or months) before we learn the fate of a series. But in this case, the animated series was an instant hit! Immediately after premiering, Invincible received high praise from both critics and audiences. Prime Video wasted no time ordering season 2 and season 3.

What we don't know is when season 3 will drop on Prime Video. Honestly, your guess is as good as mine! Invincible season 1 dropped in March 2021, wrapping up in April 2021 with a total of eight episodes (one added to the platform each week). Due to scheduling conflicts and the pandemic, season 2 did not arrive until Nov. 2023, with four episodes. The final part premiered on March 24, with the finale available to stream on April 4.

In an interview with Collider, Invincible star Steven Yeun revealed that they don't want a long break between season 2 and season 3, sharing that "We’ve been working. We’re banking episodes, we know what’s going on.” Based on the dates above and Yeun's comment, we believe Invincible season 3 will drop in early 2025. Of course, as soon as we have more details to share, we'll update this post!

Invincible stars the voices of Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, and others. The first two seasons are streaming on Prime Video.
