Jason Momoa's On the Roam watch guide: Everything you need to know

Actor Jason Momoa is taking us on the road with him in the new docuseries, On the Roam. The Aquaman actor steps away from Hollywood, and makes his way through the open road to showcase the talents of a variety of people. More on that below!

So how can you tune in? On the Roam premieres Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 with the first two episodes on Max. The series has a total of eight episodes, and two new installments will be released weekly until the finale on Thursday, Feb. 8. Check out the full breakdown of the episode release schedule below:

Max usually adds new shows/episodes at 12 a.m. ET. Though we're not 100% sure if that's the case for On the Roam. If it is, while technically the official release dates are Fridays, if the release time is midnight ET then that means you'll want to check for new episodes Thursday nights depending on where you live. What is On the Roam about?

On the Roam features Momoa traveling the U.S., wanting to find "art, adventure, and friendship through the lens of craftsmanship," per the synopsis. Based on the trailer, there's a wide variety of artisans and craftsmen that will be featured - from former Guns N' Roses guitarist, and probably the greatest guitarist of all time Slash, to motorcycle workshops and building instruments by hand.

In an interview with PEOPLE, the actor shared that he was surprised with "how much heart’s in it," and teased the following:

"Each episode just evolves into it’s own thing. Some of them turn into therapy sessions. That’s the beauty of it. It’s very intimate and obviously, for me, it’s very revealing."

Momoa co-directed and executive produced the show. Brian Mendoza and Kyle Wheeler also serve as EPs, with James Mendoza and Paris Herbert-Taylor producing the project. Check out the trailer below:
