With all the buzz around The Gates, the new CBS soap opera set to make its debut in January 2025, lovers of the genre have been speculating on just who will be cast in the daytime drama. The show will follow an affluent Black family that have staunch political ties and who predominately live in a gated community. No cast announcements have been made yet but rumors have been flying that The Bold and the Beautiful is going to be losing Carter Walton sometime in the future.

Lawrence Saint-Victor celebrated his 10 year anniversary on the soap last year and has been an integral part of the behind-the-scenes efforts for the show as a script writer since 2021. Still, fans seem certain that he'll be making the leap to The Gates though nothing of the sort has even been teased. The actor himself has refuted the claim.

On an Instagram post from Sept. 3 celebrating his Emmy nomination, his son's birthday, and all he's accomplished during Summer 2024, Saint-Victor responded to a fan's question about whether he's leaving his soap home for a new one since that's been posted on a couple forums as a spoiler.

His answer was "That's not true at all. All made up." He also thanked and retweeted a fan on X who'd shared his confirmation that there's no validity to the rumors that he's departing The Bold and the Beautiful. It's unclear how this rumor got started other than fans hoping to see him in a lead role in a brand new daytime program, but it's false.

Saint-Victor is continuing on as Forrester Creation's CFO and Ridge's best friend. His next storyline involves the continued issue of Hope for the Future. The executive teams remains concerned about the line's diminished profits. Hope had one quarter to begin fixing the issue but the tide has yet to turn.

According to the spoilers, Friday, Sept. 13's episode will see Carter, Eric, and Steffy preparing to have a hard conversation with her about her brand's future. Carter has been far more lenient about HFTF's recovery but he's also been upfront about the numbers. How they handle this discussion could cause waves at the company.

Whether that results in Hope deciding to pursue Finn in retaliation or she sets her sights on Carter (like I speculated!) to have more leverage at Forrester, it should be interesting to see how this all unfolds for him and the rest of this dysfunctional family.
