Fire Country fam, when Billy Burke teased that Sharon and Vince's relationship would be "crispier" in season 2, I don't think anyone expected to be left with the implication that Sharon had a situationship during her time away at the campaign fire. But that's what we were led to believe at the tail end of episode 2, "Like Breathing Again," when Liam showed up at Smokies and looked far too comfortable touching her.

Sharon quickly tried to get him to stop talking but they caught Vince's attention anyway because she was far too loud with it. See, she had been enjoying a nice impromptu date with her man when Liam came over to her after Vince went to grab some shots. Liam apparently didn't know who Vince is and, while that could be a shocker for a cliffhanger's sake and he does actually know him, Sharon looked very nervous standing between the two of them. But who exactly is Liam? Let me fill you in!

Before the season 2 premiere, it was announced that Jason O'Mara had been cast in the role. When it was said that he'd be "very glad to see [Sharon]," the impression was that he'd have an interest in her, yes, but not that Sharon may have courted his attention. I think we were all gobsmacked. There's so much to delve into here since O'Mara's character will be a recurring fixture on Fire Country this season.

“See You Next Apocalypse” – When a family refuses to evacuate their property during a massive wildfire that is escalating quickly, Jake is faced with a heartbreaking decision, on FIRE COUNTRY, Friday, March 1 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Liam is described as "hunky" with a relaxed confidence. He'll be firefighting along with Station 42 and Three Rock as shown through the stills released for episode 3, "See You Next Apocalypse." I'm intrigued by his interaction with Bode. If our hero knows anything about what went down at Smokies, it's bound to cause problems.

Billy Burke aptly referred to Vince and Sharon as the show's "anchor points." Their marriage is the one every relationship is measured against. Gabriela said she wanted herself and Diego to be the next version of the two.

No one is going to let someone mess with that so the drama that's set to come from Liam's arrival is definitely going to be delicious. Though, in case it needs to be said, it's Team Vince and Sharon over here all day every day. Trust.

For anyone who's worried, Burke also shared that the two have an "obvious undying commitment to each other" even in the midst of all this tension and stress their marriage is going through. So, while this Irishman is certainly going to light a fire or two during his time on Fire Country season 2, don't go thinking the worst.
