Maggie's in danger once again on FBI thanks to a stand-off with a car that lands her on the hood
By Sabrina Reed
Maggie can't catch a break on FBI. We're only on the third episode of season 6 but "Stay in Your Lane" will have the agent facing down danger once again. The synopsis for the episode promises a case involving a club owner who was murdered but doesn't seem to have a tie to a crime which could point to a potential motive. But, as the promo shows, there's a kidnapping afoot as well.
Maggie engages the driver of the vehicle who shoved a man in the trunk, but he doesn't pull over and exit the vehicle when she draws her gun and announces herself. Instead, the driver rams into her. Maggie is clinging to the hood of the car in the promo as OA races behind in pursuit. Eventually, she loses her grip and it's not shown whether the car runs over her or not but the next shot is of Tiffany and Scola jogging forward and Tiffany can be heard saying, "We need an ambulance."
Now, before you go thinking this is set up for Missy Peregrym to take a leave of absence from FBI this season, don't. There's been no word that the actress is departing the series. Last season she missed the first six episodes because she was on maternity leave. While it was teased that the procedural would be losing someone in season 6 that happened in the premiere.
Special Agent Trevor Hobbs was killed during an investigation and the team, particularly Tiffany, will be dealing with the impact of his death throughout the season. It's possible that might come up in "Stay in Your Lane" since Maggie's life is in danger. We'll have to see but with how close she and OA are, we do expect that if she's seriously injured we'll be getting a great one-on-one scene between the two.
FBI season 6 episode 3 premieres Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Next day streaming is available on Paramount+. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more news and coverage!
