Fans of All American: Homecoming finally have a date for when season 3 will premiere! See when and what changes to expect for this year!

The series has been in a state of flux. Thanks to the 2023 Hollywood strikes, the spinoff of the hit drama was unable to start production in time for the fall season. Of course, there are also the issues of the CW undergoing some behind-the-scenes problems that led to the cancellation of scores of series.

All American: Homecoming survived for a renewal, but it looks like budget cuts will affect the year (more on that in a bit). Thanks to the strikes and production delays, Homecoming was unable to premiere alongside All American season 6. Just to add to the problems, the CW decided to give All American an additional two episodes, extending the season 6 order to 15.

That means Homecoming was being pushed back even more as rather than have the shows airing back to back as usual, the CW seems to believe that Homecoming will get more attention on its own rather than just following the mothership show. But, at last, fans have a date, so when does Homecoming air, and what can fans expect?

When is All American Homecoming season 3 premiering?

Per TV Line, Homecoming's third season will premiere July 8 at 9 p.m. ET. After All American season 6 wraps on July 15, the spin-off will then take over that 8/7c time slot on Monday, July 22. It will be followed by season 2 of 61st Street, the Courtney B. Vance drama that was canceled by AMC with the CW stepping in to air its second season.

Fans of Homecoming are in for changes as due to budget cuts to get season 3, Peyton Alex Smith (Damon Sims) and Kelly Jenrette (Amara Patterson) have been demoted from series regulars to recurring players. Cory Hardrict (Marcus Turner) and Rhoyle Ivy King (Nathaniel Hardin) will serve as series regulars on reduced guarantees, meaning they’ll appear in fewer episodes, while Geffri Maya (Simone Hicks), Sylvester Powell (JR Raymond), Netta Walker (Keisha McCalla), Mitchell Edwards (Cam Watkins) and Camille Hyde (Thea Mays) are all returning as full-fledged series regulars. Also, Martin Bobb-Semple (Lando Johnson) has been promoted to a series regular.

The show’s fate is up in the air thanks to the changes at the CW, and it’s unclear if All American will get a seventh season. Thus, this could be the last season, but at least fans know when it finally debuts, and fans can enjoy a homecoming for this fine drama.

All American: Homecoming season 3 premieres Monday July 8 at 9/8c on The CW.
