Melissa Rauch will reunite with a Big Bang Theory co-star on Night Court (sorry, it's not Wolowitz)

The dreams of season 4 Raj from The Big Bang Theory could be coming true in a new episode of Night Court season 2! Big Bang fans, we're in for a treat. Of course we know that Melissa Rauch was our smart, snarky, and sophisticated scientist Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on the sitcom. Now, she's headlining her own show as Abby Stone on NBC's Night Court. And we're so happy for her!

Since the end of of TBBT in 2019, none of the cast members have reunited onscreen together. Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, and Mayim Bialik did provide voice cameos on the show's prequel series Young Sheldon where Jim Parsons narrates. But, we didn't actually get to see the actors together onscreen. Well, that's about to change because Rauch is soon reuniting with a Big Bang Theory co-star on the second season of Night Court. Sorry, it's not Helberg who starred as her onscreen husband Howard Wolowitz. Though I'd love to see that in a future episode!

Kunal Nayaar guest stars on Night Court season 2

It is another important guy that was in Bernadette's life though. And that would be... Kunal Nayaar, aka Raj Koothrappali! The actor is set to appear on Night Court season 2 episode 7, "A Crime of Fashion," which airs on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024 on NBC. Coming on as a guest star, he'll play "world-renowned fashion designer Martini Toddwallis, facing a bad case of designer's block," per NBC. Though when he makes his way to night court, it's possible he'll find some "inspiration and a potential new muse."

NBC also shared an image from the upcoming episode (see it above!), which features what looks like sparks flying between Abby and Martini. Ooh la la! Is it possible we'll see Nayaar's character more throughout the season? Could he be a long-term boyfriend for Abby? She hasn't been with anyone since breaking up with Rand in the season 1 finale. Or maybe this is just a fun little reunion between the two former Big Bang co-stars for an episode. Whatever it is, I'll take it!

I don't know who made this happen, but I'm so here for it. It would be awesome to see even more Big Bang cameos - whether that's on Night Court or even the final season of Young Sheldon before it comes to an end. Hopefully the powers that be will be able to make this happen. In the meantime, it's just so exciting that Rauch and Nayaar are acting opposite each other again.

If you remember back in TBBT season 4, there was a small story arc with Raj having a crush on Bernadette. And even in episode 14 of that season, "The Thespian Catalyst," there was a hilarious and fun dancing dream sequence between the two characters. Then in episode 20, "The Herb Garden Germination,” Raj's sister Priya tells Leonard she found poems her brother wrote, including "oh Bernadette, please play my clarinet." NBC shared a post on Instagram with Nayaar saying those exact words once again on the set of Night Court with his lovely co-star Rauch. Check it out below!

Raj quickly got over his crush, but perhaps his new character Martini has a better chance! Being Howard's best friend, Raj was always around the couple and the trio all became very close friends. He even became their daughter Halley's godfather. I can't wait to see the two actors onscreen together once again! I definitely know what my plans are on that Tuesday night.
