7 messiest couples on Grey's Anatomy from Towen to Jaggie

Grey's Anatomy is no stranger to relationships. Some ships work well and we wanted to see them succeed. Others are just plain messy!

Ranking the messiest Grey’s Anatomy ships

When it comes to shows with steamy relationships, Grey’s Anatomy is one that brings something every single season. Not all of these relationships should happen, though. We’re taking a look at the messiest of the lot.

There are some excellent ships throughout the series. Who doesn’t love MerDer (okay, me, but I have a lot of problems with Derek) or Slexie? I would have loved to see more with Hayes and Meredith, but it just wasn’t meant to be, but they had potential.

There are some ships that make zero sense from the start. They have no potential in working out, and we weren’t surprised to see many of them come to an end. Some of them really should just end!

Towen (Teddy and Owen)

Let’s just start with one ship that had shown signs of happening in the earlier days of Grey’s Anatomy. Teddy came into the story after Owen, and we quickly learned that they had a history together. It was also clear that Teddy was in love with Owen. When she realized that he would choose Cristina over her in the shooting, she chose to move on.

She ended up with Henry. While that seemed messy at first, it ended up being a great relationship. It’s just a shame that Henry wasn’t allowed to survive. Teddy left, but came back, and it all led to this messy relationship.

When you agree to marry someone who is cheating on you and isn’t apologetic at all, you can’t really expect that relationship to work, can you? There is so little likable about these two characters on a personal level. They don’t seem to support each other unless they really have to because it’s the done thing when you’re married to them.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we had more relationship drama between these two.
