It's almost time to jump into the world of Mr. and Mrs. Smith with the new Prime Video series! Though the show is based on the 2005 movie with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, this is a unique spin on the story that focuses more on the characters and their growth versus strictly the action of it all.

We're in for a fun ride! And you definitely don't want to miss it. Mr. and Mrs. Smith premieres Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 on Prime Video. However due to the GMT release time of the streamer, you might actually be able to tune in a day early based on where you live. We break it all down for you below!

The good news is that if you want to breeze right through the episodes, then you definitely can! That's because all eight episodes of the spy comedy drop on premiere day. The official release date is Friday, Feb. 2. However if you live in the U.S., you'll actually be able to start binging on Thursday, Feb. 1. And that's because of the time zone difference.

Prime Video is already included in an Amazon Prime shopping subscription if you have that. If you just want to subscribe to the streamer though, that's going to be $8.99/month. Though Prime Video has just introduced an ad-tier. So it will be an additional cost of $2.99 to go ad-free.

The Mr. and Mrs Smith series stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as John Smith and Jane Smith, respectively. Plus, Glover is a co-creator on the project! Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Michaela Coel, Paul Dano, Ron Perlman, Sharon Horgan, and more round out the cast.

Though the concept of the show is inspired by the 2005 iconic movie with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the series is actually quite different and you don't have to watch the film before the Prime Video production premieres. Showrunner Francesca Sloane teases that there's easter eggs for fans of the movie, but the creative team has taken its own spin on the story.

The biggest difference is that the main couple enters an arranged marriage instead of already being together for years. They're matched through a mysterious spy agency that "offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travels, and a dream brownstone in Manhattan," per the synopsis. But they have to get new identities and of course get married. When these two start to have real feelings for each other with the backdrop of their action-packed missions, what will happen?

Mr. and Mrs. Smith begins streaming all eight episodes Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 on Prime Video.
