NBC has a lot in store for us in the 2024-2025 TV season! Personally, I'm most excited for Reba McEntire's return to leading a network comedy thanks to Happy's Place. The series will see her reuniting with Melissa Peterman yet again in a plot focused on McEntire's character, Bobbi, inheriting her father's restaurant and having to run it with the half-sister she never knew she had (played by Belissa Escobedo).

The Queen of Country's addition to the roster isn't the only new comedy coming to NBC. We can also anticipate the premiere of St. Denis Medical. The series is a mockumentary style dive into an Oregon hospital that's underfunded and understaffed. Despite this the doctors and nurses are dedicated to doing right by their patients and treating them the best they can while still holding onto their own sanity.

Brilliant Minds is the last new series debuting in the fall. The drama, led by Zachary Quinto, is a medical program inspired by the life and work of Oliver Sacks, a world famous author and physician. Quinto plays the "larger-than-life" neurologist and his team of interns as they explore the human mind whilst also balancing their work with their personal relationships and mental health.

What else is on the way? Check out the full schedule below!

As you'll note, The Irrational will be holding court on Tuesdays after The Voice. The block is an interesting one as it's led by comedies before the singing competition takes center stage and then we'll be dropping into a procedural. But who knows? Perhaps it'll be a winning combination.

Now don't be alarmed by Law and Order Thursdays suffering a cut not only in its time block but also in the loss of one of its titles. Law and Order: Organized Crime didn't get canceled. It has been renewed for a fifth season, said season just won't air on NBC. The Stabler-led series has been added to Peacock's roster (this could be a good thing for the show!). In its place, Found's second season has slid into the 10 p.m. slot.

The network's announcement of its schedule also came with information on what we can expect for its holiday slate and specials that are on the way including a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Wicked film adaptation. Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and the cast of the movie will be giving us a peak at the magic they imbued into the film.

The midseason is an interesting one. Of course, we'll be in for the return of the scripted series that'd been off on winter break. But we can also count on a 50th anniversary special for Saturday Night Live along with a 10 part event series called The Americas. It'll be narrated by Tom Hanks with music by Hans Zimmer. The wildlife documentary charts the "home to the largest variety of life on the planet" which is North and South America.

2025 will see the return of Deal or No Deal Island for its second season along with two new series. Destination X is a reality competition that combines an adventure, immersive gameplay, and a guessing game. The Hunting Party is a procedural starring Melissa Roxburgh that follows investigators who work to find and catpure the most dangerous killers in the country.
