NCIS: Hawaii season 3 spoilers: Lucy gets jealous over Kate and an unexpected person

NCIS: Hawaii debuts its third season on Monday, Feb. 12, but we are already looking forward to seeing where our favorite characters are when the series comes back to CBS. In fact, there may be a fun little tidbit about Kate Whistler (Tori Anderson) and Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-Bustami). What can we expect to see from them when the season opener airs?

While we don’t know a lot about what the characters will be up to, TVLine shared a scoop o what might be coming up for the show’s resident couple, Kate and Lucy. In response to a question about the couple, dubbed Kacy, there was a suggestion of some jealousy on Lucy’s part over Kate and… Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant)?

This is surprising, but the words “playful jealousy” were used to describe this interaction, since it looks like Kate and Kai are becoming close friends. So, from the looks of things, it might just be a silly plot line for the opener to work alongside the tension that comes from Jane trying to go back to work. Just as long as Kacy is happy by the end of the episode!

At the end of the season 2 finale, the couple were happily reunited after Kate helped Jane during the case she was trying to take care of. So we’re sure that by the end of the season 3 premiere, the couple will be happy as ever. But we are here for all of the friendships that we get to see from the season!

This includes a new dynamic being added to the series. Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) will be working with Sam Hanna on a case. However, he is mainly there to ensure she is prepared to go back to work after the events of the season 2 finale.
