How to watch every episode of Reacher season 2

Reacher season 2 premiered Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 with the first three episodes on Prime Video. Going forward, one new episode will be released weekly until the finale on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. Like its predecessor, this season has a total of eight episodes. Prime Video is included in an Amazon Prime account, or you can sign up just for the streamer for $8.99/month.

If you're in the U.S. though, what can be a little confusing about Prime Video is that the streamer releases new episodes Fridays at 12 a.m. GMT (in London). And so while technically new episodes "officially" stream Fridays, the release date in the U.S. is actually Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. ET due to the time zone difference. That means the Reacher season 2 premiere date in the U.S. was Thursday, Dec. 14 and the finale will be available to watch on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 at 7 p.m. ET. We broke down both the GMT and U.S. release schedules for you below:

If you need to catch up on Reacher before season 2 comes out, then you can stream all of season 1 on Prime Video now! There's definitely a lot that happened in the first season's finale. Here's a refresher. We find out that KJ has been the one behind all the murders. KJ eventually does a fiery death when Reacher pours flammable chemicals on him and kicks him into the existing fire at the warehouse.

Our main heroine also finds Finlay, who was being tortured by Baker, and saves him. There's also some of Reacher's personal history revealed. His mother passed in Paris year ago after being sick for a long time, and she gave him his grandfather's Croix de Guerre before she died. By the end of the episode, Reacher buries the medal where his brother Joe Reacher died, then makes his way to the road for his next hitchhike.

What to expect in Reacher season 2

The action crime show is based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child. According to Prime Video, Reacher season 2 is based on the eleventh book in the novel series, Bad Luck and Trouble. There's 26 total. So what's up next for Reacher? Check out the official synopsis below:

"Reacher season 2 begins when veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. Pulled from his drifter lifestyle, Reacher reunites with three of his former teammates turned chosen family to investigate, including Frances Neagley; Karla Dixon; a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot; and fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell.

Together, they begin to connect the dots in a mystery where the stakes get higher at every turn, and brings about questions of who has betrayed them—and who will die next. Using his inimitable blend of smarts and size, Reacher will stop at nothing to uncover the truth and protect the members of his unit. If there’s one thing Reacher and his team know for certain, it’s that you do not mess with the Special Investigators. This season, get ready for Reacher and the 110th to hit back hard."

Joining Ritchson in the second season are Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, and new cast members Serinda Swan as Karla Dixon, and Shaun Sipos as David O’Donnell who are "key members" of the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit, per Prime Video. The cast also includes Ferdinand Kingsley as mercenary A.M., Robert Patrick as head of security for a private defense contractor Shane Langston, and Domenick Lombardozzi as NYPD detective Guy Russo.

Reacher season 2 streams new episodes weekly Thursdays in the U.S. and Fridays in the U.K. on Prime Video!
