Reba McEntire won't be in The Voice season 27 (Coaches panel announced!)
The Voice is setting up for its fall season on NBC but already announced the lineup for the coaches' panel for spring 2025! Here’s who’s in the chairs!
Since its debut in 2011, The Voice has been one of the best singing competition shows out there. The winners and other contestants may not rise to the fame of winners on American Idol but still succeed in music and acting. The real draw has always been the banter of the superstar coaches, many are music industry legends who not only judge the contestants but offer support as well as the competition goes on.
The original panel consisted of Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Since then, the panel has shifted with various coaches coming and going like Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira, John Legend and more. The panel for the upcoming Season 26 will be Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg.
McEntire will be leaving the show after season 26, likely due to how she’s committed to starring in the new NBC sitcom Happy’s Place. Also, Stefani will be departing as she doesn't do consecutive seasons of the competition series, and Snoop Dogg will be leaving as well. That leaves a couple of chairs vacated but as it turns out, NBC is filling one with a familiar face.
Adam Levine returns for The Voice season 27
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Adam Levine will be stepping in as a coach for the spring 2025 season, returning after he departed the show in 2019. He was a part of The Voice's coaches panel for the first 16 seasons. The Maroon 5 frontman said at the time: "I was ready to not be doing it anymore for a little bit. … For better or worse, the moment in which we decided to walk away felt really good. This is the right time for me to go.” But, with nearly six years between then and now, it's time for his grand return.
Kelsea Ballerini will make her debut as a coach in season 27. The four-time Grammy nominee and multiple CMA and ACM award winner was an advisor for Kelly Clarkson in season 16 and filled in for her as a coain a few episodes. Her country music fame will aid her with contestants.
Michael Bublé is the sole coach from season 26 who will be returning. Joining him, and the rest of the panel, is 10-time The Voice coach John Legend. The popular crooner should be a good fit for the show particularly when he and Legend share the panel as they're both entertainers whose style embodies an old school/throwback vibe.
The Voice airs Tuesdays at 9/8c this fall on NBC.
