The tension is set to crescendo on The Bold and the Beautiful thanks to Finn telling Steffy that Hope kissed him at the party celebrating the relaunch of Brooke's Bedroom. While his wife went to go confront her rival, Brooke had walked across the hall to the CEO office, unaware that her daughter was about to get a tongue lashing.

She was reeling from her conversation with Hope in which she had to firmly tell her to quit obsessing over Finn. It's obvious that Brooke is scared for her but she still believes that Hope will stick to her promise that nothing like what she did will happen again. That, however, doesn't mean that this is something Brooke will be able to sit on. Not just because Steffy's certain to tell Ridge of the kiss but also because it's so explosive that the damage Hope has done could reverberate in her own relationship.

But as soon as Brooke shared what happened, Taylor was standing in the doorway having overheard what she said. The soap ended before we could get the good doctor's full reaction but Rebecca Budig, in an interview with Soap Opera Digest, has teased what to expect and how Taylor and Brooke will be in the upcoming confrontation.

"The dynamic is combative. But I think that Brooke is seeing the same thing that Taylor is seeing, and she is trying to make Taylor see that she is seeing what she’s seeing. But she is also defending her daughter, too. She doesn’t want her daughter to be attacked."

Both ladies will be in "mommy mode" but, as Taylor has already been feeling that Steffy isn't getting the support she needs, finding out about this crossing of the line is going to have her "not even [seeing] straight," as Budig put it. That's to be expected considering the gravity of the situation. We're talking about two women who have been at odds for years over the same man and now it's happening again with a different one. Brooke and Taylor know a thing or thousand about that due to their own history with Ridge.

In Wednesday, Aug. 21's episode, Steffy compared Hope to Brooke when she was telling her about herself during their confrontation. According to Budig, Taylor is about to do the same thing. The moment will happen as she's still processing what happened and is in the heat of the moment.

"She is disappointed and she is shocked, because I think she thought that Hope was a little more trustworthy and had it more together."

There is, however, a stark difference between Hope and Brooke that may not get acknowledged during this storyline. By that I mean, the men Brooke went after wanted her in return. Finn wants nothing to do with Hope romantically and has made that clear more than once. This is a one-sided infatuation that could spiral out of control if Hope can't get a handle on her feelings.
