Role Play has made its land on Prime Video, and it's the perfect weekend watch if you just want to kick back, relax, and step away from that to-do list you're working through. But besides the comedy and Kaley Cuoco's killer action sequences, the film also has a soundtrack that's got a groove or two on it. Particularly the opening song, "Work To Do."
The track, written by O'Kelly, Ronald, and Rudolph Isley, sets the stage for Emma Brackett who is mid-job as the Average White Band provides her with the kind of feel good momentum that lets the audience know we're in for a good time. I found myself bopping along as she transformed into another person to take out a target and then made her way home like nothing was amiss.
Here's what else played during the movie:
- "Nothing Burns Like the Cold" - Snoh Aalegra ft. Vince Staples
- "Beyond the Sea" - Bobby Darin
- "Do It (ft. Bellsavvy)" - Shatterjack
- "Take Me Out" - Scissor Sisters
- "Take Me Higher" - Shatterjack
- "Our Day Will Come" - Amy Winehouse
- "First Warning" - The Prodigy
- "Du" - Peter Maffay
As you can see, Role Play kept it short with its tracklist but, nonetheless, there are some choice songs on it. Stream the movie over the weekend for a fun, ridiculous ride as Dave slowly comes to terms with his wife's hidden career, and Emma does her due diligence to protect him and their kids as well as keep herself alive.
