Turn to Black Bird next

Do you like shows that focus on a felon turning his life around? Black Bird is the one you want to turn to next. It stars Taron Egerton as Jimmy Keene, and it is based on a true story. There’s only one season as this was a limited series.

Jimmy is serving a 10-year federal sentence for gun and drug trafficking. The FBI decides to recruit him in an attempt to find out something incriminating on a fellow inmate. That inmate is Larry Hall, a suspected serial killer.

This show is on the darker side compared to Fire Country. It does involve people having to make difficult decisions to do the right thing and to protect their own lives.

Black Bird is on Apple TV+.

Move onto the dystopian series Silo

How about a show with a conspiracy? After all, we know that there’s some sort of conspiracy going on in the world of Fire Country. Why else did an innocent man’s freedom become bogged down by someone unconnected to him before the firefighter program?

Silo brings us another conspiracy, but it’s hard to work out what that conspiracy is. Set in an underground silo where everyone lives because the air is toxic, one woman decides she wants to go outside to see what’s really there. Is it possible that the things they see on the screen is just a faked projection to make people live in fear of the outside?

Soon, the sheriff follows, putting another sheriff in charge. That sheriff is Juliette, who learns that there is something much bigger going on. She needs to get to the bottom of what that is, but it could cost her life.

Silo is available to stream on Apple TV+.
