[Spoiler]'s death may be revealed and more Ghosts season 4 spoilers

After that major season 3 cliffhanger, Ghosts fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the hit comedy series, and the showrunners have just teased which ghost's death will likely be revealed next.

The hit comedy series, Ghosts, is returning to CBS and Paramount+ for a fourth season this fall, and the showrunners have recently revealed a few exciting teases and spoilers for what fans can expect to see in upcoming episodes.

We last left Woodstone Manor with a highly anticipated ghost wedding where Isaac ultimately makes a decision at the altar to not marry Nigel after all. And though many fans thought this plot twist was the last major story point for season 3, there was a much bigger cliffhanger ahead. In the very last moments of the Ghosts finale, the basement ghosts trick Isaac into going to the basement where Patience is waiting to drag him underground as revenge.

Though it may take some time for the rest of the ghosts and the living in Woodstone Manor to realize what has happened to Isaac, we know much of the major story at the beginning of Ghosts season 4 is going to center around rescuing Isaac and bringing him home (and maybe a new connection with Patience?). But in a recent interviews with TVLine, co-showrunner Joe Port teased even more about Ghosts season 4.

Whose death will be revealed on Ghosts season 4?

Ghosts fans know that several episodes throughout the series have focused on how the current ghosts in Woodstone Manor ended up stuck there, either in flashbacks or other story reveals where we see how and when the character died. One of the characters we haven't yet learned about is Sas, but that may be changing soon.

In his recent interview, Port told TVLine that the creators have "been talking a lot about [revealing the cause of] Sas’ death" and that they have a story in mind that they are excited to reveal on the series. "I wouldn’t be surprised if we got into that [next] season," Port said.

How Hetty and Trevor's dynamic will continue in Ghosts season 4

One of our favorite ghost relationships is between Hetty and Trevor, and their dynamic is absolutely something I want to see more of in season 4. On the subject, Port said it's something we may get more of in the future. "They definitely have a lot of things in common and shared passions, even though they seem kind of from very different eras, of course, Port told TVLine. "Never say never, but we’ll see.”

Learning more about Sam and Jay next season

The Ghosts showrunners have confirmed that we'll see Sam and Jay continue working on getting the restaurant up and running next season, and Port confirmed recently that we'll also learn more about Jay and Sam's families in upcoming episodes. “We want to meet their families and really get to know them a little bit more,” Port said. He also confirmed that Sam will continue to write a book with Isaac, which may be good news for how quickly the group will be able to save Isaac from Patience!

Ghosts season 4 premieres Thursday, October 17 at 8:30 PM on CBS and will be available the following day on Paramount+. We don't yet know how many episodes will be included, but I'm hoping that we get a larger 18-20 episode order like Ghosts had for its first two seasons.
