We may be in for a cast exit on The Bold and the Beautiful. Likely a temporary one. I say this because today on the soap, in a loving but frank conversation with her brother, Thomas, Steffy implored him to pack a bag and head to the City of Lights, Paris. The moment came when she went to go check on Thomas at his house after he left work for the day.

This was the sisterly pep talk I'd been waiting for as Steffy expressed that he is worthy of love and is too good of a man to be settling for a woman who doesn't love him like he loves her. More and more it seems that Steffy is getting through to Thomas as he begins to see his sister's perspective. While he doesn't agree that Hope has just been leading him on and is using him, he can see that perhaps a future with her isn't in the cards.

Hope rejected his proposal for a second time, and he honestly has no idea why. Now, truthfully, some of this boils down to a lack of communication between the two. Thomas told Steffy that he just wanted to be engaged so they'd have some kind of commitment that he could trust in to assure himself their relationship is going somewhere. He didn't mean that he wanted to get married the following day even though he would definitely do that because he loves Hope. She, however, likely didn't know that and might have answered differently if she had.

Nonetheless, Steffy urging Thomas to go to Paris and take his son, Douglas, with him is her idea of him doing what's best for himself. It'll give him the time he needs to heal and break things off with Hope once and for all. His lady love, however, isn't likely to handle a decision like that well. She's barely holding it together as it is at the very idea Steffy might convince him to leave her. Adding Paris to the mix and Douglas leaving the country without her and that sounds like an explosion waiting to happen.

Hope isn't aware of any of this at the moment. She was in the main office of Forrester Creations explaining to her mother, Brooke, and then Ridge that she's not going to stand for Steffy getting in the middle of her relationship with Thomas. The hypocrisy was flying everywhere as both Logan women made statements about how Steffy shouldn't be meddling and has no business interfering in something that doesn't concern her. Considering these two love to meddle, and Hope literally just stuck her nose in Sinn's business, I had to laugh.

A staunch supporter of Hope's regardless of whether she's in the wrong or not, Brooke basically seemed to say all of this was only happening because Thomas wasn't listening to Hope. But Ridge saw that it's more complex than that. Clearly, Thope aren't communicating well or hearing each other, or Hope has been giving Thomas reason to think she's ready to get married.

When Ridge asked her why she was wearing the engagement ring if she couldn't commit, she did acknowledge that she was hesitant to because of what it implied. But then she felt better about it because, to her, it was a symbol of their exclusivity and that she's not interested in anyone other than Thomas. To me, it didn't seem like that's something that Thomas is aware she feels. These two are not on the same page at all and their lack of communication is a problem.

As is Hope's neglect to establish what her "timeline" is regarding their relationship. Brooke said that Thomas didn't respect it, but we actually don't know anything about it and Hope did not provide any details in today's episode. You can't keep telling someone you "need more time" and yet not share how much time you need. It keeps people in limbo, brings on a lot of insecurity, and can end a romance. Hope might learn that the hard way this week, so she needs to worry less about whether breaking up her relationship with Thomas is some kind of personal vendetta Steffy has and concern herself more with fighting for her man.

See you in the next recap, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
