Where to stream Jennifer Lawrence's Golden Globe winning films
Jennifer Lawrence is a brilliant actress, and one of my favorites in the industry! She's done so many great movies over the years like The Hunger Games franchise, Red Sparrow, and Causeway. Surprisingly, the star hasn't been nominated for a Golden Globe for any of these films. And yes, even The Hunger Games movies!
Of course an actor's work isn't just about the awards they're nominated for or win. But, it is still an honor and a way for the talents' work to be recognized. So which films has she won a Golden Globe for? Jennifer Lawrence has won a Golden Globe for Silver Linings Playbook in 2013, American Hustle in 2014, and Joy in 2016. So where can you stream the movies?
- Silver Linings Playbook - Netflix
- American Hustle - Showtime or Paramount+ with Showtime
- Joy - Only available to buy or rent (more details below)

Silver Linings Playbook
* Stream on Netflix
I love Silver Linings Playbook. It's one of my favorite Jennifer Lawrence movies. The emotion and vulnerability she brought to the role was so great and kept me entranced the whole time I was watching. The film is centered around Pat (Bradley Cooper) who goes back to live with his parents after losing his job, wife, and spending time at a mental institution. He wants to get back on his feet and win his wife back. Enter Tiffany (Lawrence) who offers to help him do that. But he needs to do something "very important for her in exchange."

American Hustle
* Stream on Paramount+ with Showtime
American Hustle is filled with a star-studded cast, and Bradley Cooper and Lawrence reunite onscreen! Other than Cooper, the cast list also includes Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner, Robert DiNero (who was also in Silver Linings Playbook!), and Amy Adams. Check out the official synopsis of the black comedy below:
"Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) dabbles in forgery and loan-sharking, but when he falls for fellow grifter Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), things change in a big way. Caught red-handed by FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper), Irv and Sydney are forced to work under cover as part of DiMaso's sting operation to nail a New Jersey mayor (Jeremy Renner). Meanwhile, Irv's jealous wife (Jennifer Lawrence) may be the one to bring everyone's world crashing down. Based on the 1970s Abscam case."

Joy
* Only available to buy or rent
The last time Lawrence won a Golden Globe was in 2015 for biographical comedy-drama film, Joy. The movie is a wonderful portrayal of a strong female character, and it's definitely a bonus that the production is based on a true story and real-life person! Spanning four generations, the story is centered on the titular character who is able to found her own "business dynasty," per the synopsis.
And while she finds success in work, that doesn't come without a price. Joy faces " betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love." And she gains some enemies, both in and out of her family. But it's her ambition and strength that carry her forward through it all.
Unfortunately, Joy is only available to buy or rent at this time. There's no streaming option. We shared a breakdown of all the platforms you can purchase or rent the movie from:
- Prime Video - rent for $3.79 or buy for $14.99
- Google Play - rent for $3.79 or buy for $14.99
- YouTube - rent for $3.79 or buy for $14.99
- Apple TV - rent for $3.99 or buy for $14.99

Golden Globe nominated movies
Lawrence may have (rightfully!) won three Golden Globe awards, but the actress has also been nominated for two others, plus she's up for an award at the Golden Globes 2024 as well!
The Hunger Games franchise may have shot the talent to stardom status, but before that project came another one. And the movie Winter's Bone got the actress her very first Golden Globe nomination. Lawrence was nominated in the "Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama" category back in 2011.
Then in 2022, she was recognized in the "Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy" category for her character in Netflix's Don't Look Up. While she didn't win these awards, the actress is always a winner in my book! So does she have a chance to add another trophy to her mantle this year?
No Hard Feelings - did not win
Lawrence was up for an award at the Golden Globes 2024 this year for her role as Maddie Barker in No Hard Feelings in the "Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy" category. Now I've been gushing about the actress during this whole post. Even before the show started, I knew she had some stiff competition. In particular, Margot Robbie for Barbie.
And while No Hard Feelings was an enjoyable watch, I really think Robbie deserved to take home the win. The other lovely actresses in the category were Alma Pöysti, Emma Stone, Fantasia Barrino, and Natalie Portman. Ultimately, Stone won for Poor Things. Even if Lawrence didn't win a Golden Globe this year, there's still more awards shows to come. And this can still be marked down as another Golden Globe nomination for the actress!
