On Wednesday, Sept. 18's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Taylor opened up to Ridge about why she decided to return to Los Angeles. The two had been having a nice chat with Eric as he once again welcomed her back into the fold. Taylor has always felt at home with the Forresters which didn't end with her divorce from Ridge years ago.

In fact, she's considered to be a part of them in a way that's never been allowed for Brooke despite the Logan having been married to more than one Forrester man. She's considered to be set apart from them, her surname denigrated because of her past behavior. Taylor hasn't received that same treatment nor has her last name Hayes been used like a pejorative. She's an honorary Forrester and that bleeds into all of her interactions. But I digress.

Once Eric left the room, Ridge and Taylor had the opportunity to talk. At first their discussion was about being thankfully their daughter Steffy survived Luna's attempt to kill her and Hope kissing Steffy's husband Finn. But then it turned to Taylor's reason for coming home. We got the same spiel we usually do from her. She missed her family and is tired of existing off of phone calls, photos, and video chats, she wants to be an active participant in Steffy's life and that of her grandchildren Kelly and Hayes.

But what was intriguing this time around was the implication that Taylor may have a deeper reason for her unexpected move back to LA. She admitted to seeing Ridge and Brooke in Monte Carlo, and in doing show mentioned that she was there because she had an appointment that she couldn't miss. Sure, that could be a throwaway line meant to give Taylor a flimsy excuse for being in Monaco but it may not be.

Taylor got teary as she was talking and earlier in the conversation she'd made an off-hand comment about her heart that didn't have to be literal but could be hinting at a coming storyline. If the writers wanted to put more weight into Taylor's return and something that would definitely have Ridge glued to her side or wanting to be there for her more than Brooke would like, it would be simple to give her some kind of illness or medical condition.

It doesn't have to be life-threatening but something worrying enough to have the Forresters rally around her as she works to overcome whatever she might have. Remember, we don't know why Bridget is making an appearance (likely toward the end of September!). Could she be called in for something regarding Taylor? Maybe!

While it's entirely possible that there's nothing wrong with Taylor at all and we just got the refrain we always get from her whenever she returns to our screens, it would be intriguing if her story takes a different direction.
