Spoilers ahead for The Bold and the Beautiful episodes for the week of Sept. 30

The cat is out of the bag! Taylor told Ridge her heart is failing on Monday, Sept. 30's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. The devastating news rocked Forrester's Co-CEO, but he's always been a man of action so no one should be surprised that he's going to be pushing Taylor to confirm the diagnosis she was given and whether her prognosis is correct.

Remember, she told Li that she hadn't seen a specialist. That's the whole reason why she told the good doctor in the first place about her condition. Li gave her a list of cardiologists whose work is unmatched and then said that she'd work the expedite getting Taylor an appointment as soon she chose one.

With Ridge urging Taylor to get a second opinion on Wednesday, Oct. 2, we can expect the process to go quick because on Thursday, we'll be coming face-to-face with her cardiologist. And, it won't be a stranger! Cassandra Creech will be gracing our screens once again as Dr. Grace Buckingham.

Unfamiliar with her character? No, problem! Here's what you need to know!

Cassandra Creech returns to Bold and the Beautiful as Dr. Grace Buckingham

Grace is the mother of Paris and Zoe Buckingham, and the ex-wife of Dr. Reese Buckingham. As such, her family has a storied history with the Forresters and the Logans.

Reese was the one who stole Hope Logan's baby, convincing her that she'd suffered a stillbirth, to pay off his debts through faking a legit adoption. The baby was adopted by Steffy Forrester and named after the Co-CEO's deceased twin sister, Phoebe. When word got out about what happened, and that Zoe had known but didn't say anything because she feared what would happen to her dad, the family was changed forever.

Following that storyline, Zoe took up with Thomas Forrester as they were both misfits and outsiders after their part in the above debacle, but he was using her to try to make Hope jealous. At one point they were engaged but when Thomas' duplicity was revealed, their relationship ended. Now, he's engaged with full intention on marrying her sister, Paris, so Taylor and Grace could end up being in-laws in spite of all the chaos and heartbreak that occurred years ago.

As for her duties as a doctor, Grace has provided medical care to one of The Bold and the Beautiful characters before. She was Katie Logan's cardiologist and had good news to share as her transplanted heart still wasn't being rejected by her body. Grace also used the appointment to bury the hatchet with Carter Walton who'd been there as support for Katie since the two were seeing each other at the time.

Carter had broken both of her daughters' hearts with the same woman. First, when he was engaged to Zoe but had caught feelings for Eric Forrester's then wife Quinn Fuller. Then later after he left Paris at the altar when they were to be married but Quinn stopped the wedding to tell him that she wanted to be with him. It should be noted, Carter and Quinn are no longer together.

By the end of this week, Taylor will be faced with a dilemma as she won't know what to believe once Grace shares her findings regarding her health. I do wonder what Dr. Buckingham's diagnosis is and how it'll twist this story even more. It looks like it's going to be a good one.
