Quantum Leap's season 2B premiere has been announced by NBC, dropping on a new day and time. Come Monday, January 30th at 10 PM ET/9 PM CT, Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) and his team will return with their historical renovations with time travel leaps as they face new conflicts.
In season 2, Ben navigates through different decades from 1692 Salem to 2000 Hollywood, and his most recent visit, 1964 Cairo, Egypt, which was the mid-season finale. It was a wild ride, and more will come in the remaining episodes. It's anyone's guess where and when Ben leaps to next, but rest assured, it's entertaining when he does. He gets to see the world through the lens of others, which is a lesson in itself.
The season finale will hopefully tie up the remaining five episodes' storylines and see an exciting future for Ben and Hannah (Eliza Taylor). Taylor is an immaculate addition to Quantum Leap, offering both brains and beauty. Additionally, her backstory of being a woman WWII veteran is a nice niche to the show's storyline, as it gives us the perception of women's roles during the war.
The Quantum Leap season 2 finale will drop in February
Unlike its season 1 finale, which aired in April 2023, the season 2 finale will air in February due to its shortened season of just thirteen episodes, compared to the eighteen season 1 had. The reasoning behind the shortened second season is that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA were on strike for seven months, halting filming and production.
The Quantum Leap season 2 finale will premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 9 p.m. ET, having an extra hour. NBC has yet to release 2B's episode descriptions, photos, and if there'll be a season 3. The network hasn't revealed the series' future as of this writing.
Following their initial airings on Wednesday nights, the episodes will be available to stream on Peacock the next day.
