ABC's hit crime drama The Rookie is back on our screens tonight, Feb. 20. Don't want to miss Nathan Fillion's return to the LAPD? We share the best three ways to watch so you don't miss any of the action.
The world of entertainment seems to have plenty of police procedural shows, but The Rookie has always stood out from the rest. I mean, it didn't earn six seasons for nothing! Fans love the chemistry between the cast, particularly Fillion with anyone he interacts with on screen. The fact that the series is based on a true story certainly adds to the reasons we love The Rookie. And season 6 is looking to be even more exciting than the last.
For those who are not in the know, The Rookie follows John Nolan (Fillion), a man in his 40s who becomes the oldest rookie working for the Los Angeles Police Department. The story is based on William Norcross, a man who moved to Los Angeles to join the LAPD in his mid-40s.
The long wait for season 6 is nearly over. The new season was supposed to premiere in the fall of 2023 but was delayed due to the Hollywood strikes. The Rookie season 6 episode 1 premieres tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 9 p.m. ET. Find out how to watch on the network and online after checking out the exciting season 6 trailer, below:
3 ways to watch The Rookie season 6 episode 1
The first way is to tune in to the ABC network at (or just before) 9 p.m. ET to catch the premiere. However, if you do not have cable, simply stream the episode via the platform you replaced cable with, such as Hulu + Live TV or FuboTV. And if the problem is that you can't tune in at 9 p.m. ET, just stream it the following day. The season 6 premiere of The Rookie (and all episodes to come) will be available to stream on Hulu the day after airing on ABC. So, in this case, watch season 6 episode 1 on Hulu on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
TV is back on, folks! In addition to The Rookie, Feb. 20 also sees the return of Will Trent and The Good Doctor. Which series are you the most excited to watch?
