The first look at Tracker season 2 has some familiar faces and maybe a new love for Colter Shaw! See more here!

CBS had to wait until February 2024 to kick off its season thanks to the 2023 Hollywood strikes throwing off network TV. They made up for it by starting in style with the new drama Tracker getting a premiere right after the Super Bowl. It quickly became a huge hit and earned a second season straight away.

The show follows Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), who was raised with survival skills by his professor father. Colter travels the country, accepting jobs to help folks with anything from missing persons to lost items. He also tracks his own mysterious past and connects to his brother Russell (Jensen Ackles), who works with a shadowy group on dangerous assignments.

Season 1 was only 13 episodes due to the strikes but season 2 will have 22. It appears it’ll be hitting the ground running as Colter is back on his unique jobs and in some wild adventures!

See who’s coming for Tracker season 2!

The trailer is a mix of scenes from upcoming episodes that continue the formula of Colter going to a new location and mixing it up with the locals. There are also hints of our lead getting tangled up with a mysterious agency that may know more about why his father took his family off the grid.

There is a change to his supporting cast as Robin Weigert, who played Tracker’s “agent” Teddi, has left the show. We get a glimpse of Velma (Abby McEnany) but no hint of what’s happened with Teddi.

We do get more of lawyer Reenie (Fiona Rene) still getting Colter out of trouble. There’s also the return of Ackles as Russell with the pair driving in a car that bears a great resemblance to “Baby” from Supernatural. That will likely link to them sharing a case that could explore more about their father.

A surprise is the return of Billie Matalon, a fellow bounty hunter who appeared in season 1. She and Colter had a nice chemistry, which is no surprise given Billie is played by Hartley’s real-life wife, Sofia Pernas.

Her presence in the trailer includes the pair sharing a dance and Reenie teasing Colter about him and Billie getting closer, which he brushes off. While the producers have shot down the idea of Billie getting her own spin-off, her presence with Colter in season 2 looks fun as the pair are a good "will they or won't they" couple on the job.

So season 2 is a mix of action, romance, some humor, and more of Colter exploring a mysterious group tied to his past. Put it together and Tracker's sophmore season appears to be even better than the first to continue this new CBS hit!

Tracker season 2 premieres Sunday October 13 at 8/7c on CBS.
