Tune into All American season 6 with this TV and streaming guide
By Sabrina Reed
The time has come! All American Mondays are back. It's been a long time since fans of the popular football drama have been able to tune into a new episode. Season 6 has been highly anticipated as this tentpole series is one of the few left standing after The CW gutted its programming slate, which started back in 2022 with a cancellation spree that no one will ever forget.
But, there's a reason that Spencer James' story, and that of his friends and family, continues to be a staple on the network. And, no, it's not just because it's the lone show the past regime managed to save by rolling its renewal into the Nexstar deal. It's a combination of good writing, compelling storytelling, phenomenal acting, and staying power due to its devoted fanbase.
The show has reached its seniority but new viewers continue to get hooked by the drama that unfolds particularly as the series transitioned out of its high school era and into college. If you haven't been a longtime viewer but you're looking to watch All American live for the first time, or you're trying to figure out where to stream the program while it's airing, this is the guide for you! Here's everything you need to know.
How to watch on TV
All American airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW starting April 1. If you're looking to watch the show live, you'll have to turn to The CW's channel. The network is available to watch for free if you have an antennae that can pick up the local broadcast affiliate. Cable TV providers also carry the channel. But, if you've cut the cord, the network is also available on the following streaming TV providers (depending on your region):
Streaming TV Providers | Subscription cost |
---|---|
Fubo TV | Pro: $79.99/month |
Hulu + Live TV | Live TV only: $75.99/month |
Youtube TV | Subscription: $72.99/month |
Note: Streaming TV providers will allow you to watch All American live, however, they won't be available on-demand. You'll need to use the DVR feature with your subscription, if applicable, in order to watch a new episode back if you miss it live.
How to watch on streaming
Like all CW originals, new episodes of All American will be available to stream on cwtv.com and the CW App the day after they air. As such, you can expect to be able to watch online via these platforms on Tuesdays. They're free, ad-supported services so you don't need a log-in or TV provider in order to watch the new episodes.
When is All American season 6 coming to Netflix?
If you're a Netflix fan of the series, you're in for a wait. As is typical of CW shows, season 6 won't come to the streamer until after it finishes airing on TV. The season will have a total of 13 episodes. If the season runs uninterrupted, the season 6 finale will air on Monday, June 24. That means, at the earliest, All American's latest season won't head to Netflix until July 2024.
What is season 6 about?
The premiere, "Things Done Changed," drops fans into the start of a new school year. It's an exciting time! Olivia has returned from London, Spencer and Jordan are now eligible for the NFL draft, Layla's about to open her lounge, and Patience is primed to perform for the first time since she was stabbed. There's also a little one in the mix as Asher and Jaymee continue to learn how to be parents and navigate their lives with their baby AJ in tow.
All of the characters are in different places in their lives than they were in the season 5 finale as there is a significant time jump. That's going to affect romantic relationships but also their understanding of themselves and what they want. Expect drama but also the characters being determined to chart their own path even if it means setting aside things they thought they wanted.
As is expected, you can anticipate Billy Baker's death in season 5 to play a part in the decisions being made, how his absence continues to impact his loved ones, and grief that's sure to be explored that informs tensions, drive, and the pursuit of greatness on and off the field.
All American airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
