Updated: July 10, 2024 - Dancing with the Stars season 33 isn't exactly around the corner but we're excited for the show's return nonetheless. Fall TV is when our favorite scripted dramas make a come back but it's also when celebrities strut their stuff on ABC in the hopes of winning the Len Goodman mirrorball trophy.

This year the dance competition will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET on the network. If you'd prefer to stream the show, it'll simulcast on Disney+. Hulu subscribers, however, will have to wait until the day after a new episode broadcast. As usual, we can expect Dancing with the Stars to hold down a two hour block but if you plan on sticking around for the 10 o'clock hour, ABC does have a new procedural on deck in High Potential.

While the cast for season 33 is still under wraps there have been rumors on which celebrities will be putting on their dancing shoes and one pro dancer has weighed in on possible cast shake-ups. Here's what we know!

Dancing with the Stars season 33 cast (Speculation)

Confirmed to be returning are hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough as well as judges
Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough, and Carrie Ann Inaba. But when it comes to the pros, we could see some fresh faces.

Gleb Savchenko shared that the pro dancers won't know which of them will be in the season until the last week in August. He also teased that the line-up could come with a "face-lift." He didn't give specifics only: "A friend of mine just said it to me yesterday. 'The show will definitely, at some point, get a facelift.' And facelift, meaning it has to be updated with maybe dancers or whatever."

Season 32 saw the debut of Rylee Arnold, the now 19 year old pro who had a good showing during the season partnered with Harry Jowsey. His moves weren't the best, but she was able to execute routines that spotlighted her talent as well as account for his lack of skills on the dancefloor. Koko Iwasaki was in a similar position when she was partnered with Vinny Guadagnino during her debut season in 2022.

With two women having been added to the pro line-up over the last two years, it stands to reason that we could get a new male dancer, potentially this season. Mark Ballas made his exit after season 31 so there is room for another man to join the fold.

As for the celebrity dancers, we're likely to find out who's in the line-up in July as that's the announcement window ABC had last year. But there's already been rumors flying around that sports stars like Caitlin Clark, Shohei Ohtani, and Jason Kelce could be getting their samba on. The same could be said for Bachelor Nation members Gerry Turner and Joey Graziadei. With these possible contestants (and more!) we'll be in for an interesting season.
