When do the NCIS shows return with new episodes in March 2024?

It’s barely been a month since NCIS returned after a long hiatus and now, we’re in for another one. Thankfully, this time it won’t be as long! New episodes of NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i are not airing right now, so we have reruns to contend with. So when do new episodes of the NCIS shows air?

NCIS aired a rerun on Monday, March 11 and that will also be the case on March 18. But when the show does return, we will meet another member of the NCIS family! Jessica Knight’s dad, NCIS Special Agent in Charge Feng Zhao, will making his first appearance on the show.

Played by actor Russell Wong, we know that Jessica’s dad disapproves of his daughter joining NCIS. So it will be an interesting dynamic to watch when the show returns on Monday, March 25 at 9/8c.

In the episode, “The Plan,” Knight’s dad will help NCIS “unravel the mystery of a recently used service weapon belonging to a missing agent.” In addition to this particular plot, we will also see Agent Timothy McGee learning through DNA results that he has a relative he has never met before.

What will be most fun to watch in this episode will be Jimmy also meeting Jessica's dad, especially in his capacity as her boyfriend. After seeing the various relationships the team members have with their fathers, we're excited to see what will happen when Knight's dad enters the picture.

Even though we have to wait another couple of weeks before a new episode, we’re already looking forward to it! Which episode will take its place on Monday, March 18?

NCIS: Hawai'i season 3 return date

NCIS: Hawai’i is also in the same boat and is airing reruns until Monday, March 25 at 10/9c.

The episode, titled “Serve and Protect,” will find the team “tasked to protect the daughter of a Russian oligarch carrying a deadly secret.” There will also be a storyline with Sam and Tennant when he goes to her for a favor.

So in place of a new episode, which rerun of NCIS: Hawai'i will air on Monday, March 18? That will be the second episode of season 3, which is "Crash and Burn." In this episode, the team worked together to locate prisoners who escaped after the prisoner transport plane they were in had crashed.

This is a fun episode to look back on, especially since we got to see Lucy looking forward to finding a prisoner who had major offenses on their record. But despite being tasked with finding a prisoner who did not have the most exciting warrant, it turned out more interesting than she expected.

Also in that episode, we saw more of Sam and Tennant as they worked together while also building a rapport. This will be a continuing theme we see once the new episode does air.
