With NCIS soon coming back to television, we’re now starting to get some tidbits about what to expect from the new season! Along with plot arcs surrounding Nick Torres, a tribute to Ducky, and more, we also will get to meet a new face! Find out who will join the cast in a role that will introduce us to Jessica Knight’s father.
We recently got to meet Jessica Knight’s sister in an episode that found Knight held hostage due to her sister’s new beau. Now we will meet another member of the family. Knight’s father was mentioned in another episode when he had a health scare, prompting her to be worried about if he would make it.
Even though it turned out that the situation wasn’t as dire as previously thought, it was still a first look into her who dad was. But now we will actually get to meet him.
Russell Wong portrays Jessica’s father in an upcoming episode
Not much is known yet about his role. However, TVLine reported that co-showrunners Steven D. Binder and David North explained that he would make an appearance. However, it won’t be such a happy reunion, since he has opinions about the direction Jessica is taking with her life. Knight and her father are both part of NCIS, but he has never approved of her being in this job, so that may be where it's coming from.
Wong is recognized for his roles including Romeo Must Die and he has also made television appearances in other hit shows, including an episode of NCIS: New Orleans. The actor was most recently featured in the Netflix original The Brothers Sun.
As for his NCIS appearance, It also appears that Knight's boyfriend, Jimmy Palmer, will end up being in the middle of the drama. But we have a feeling he will firmly stick to Jessica’s side. No matter what happens, we’re looking forward to learning about more family dynamics this coming season!
The season 21 premiere of NCIS will air on Monday, Feb. 12 on CBS at 9/8c. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more NCIS coverage and updates.
