The movie Saltburn has been making a lot of headlines since its release in late November 2023. From the story to the brilliant performances, Saltburn is a highly recommended movie by critics. But that's not why it has been making the rounds on social media, but rather the graphic content it features.
Let's just say, Saltburn may be a great movie, but it is definitely not for everyone! The movie is rated R for graphic nudity, drug use, language, strong sexual content, and disturbing, violent scenes. Yikes. I know those can be triggers for some, so we advise caution.
Still want to watch Saltburn ahead of the Golden Globes? We got your back! The movie is still playing in select theaters, but if it's no longer in your area, you can stream it at home! Saltburn is available to stream on Prime Video for free as part of your subscription. It runs for approximately two hours and 11 minutes.
Up for a Golden Globe, we have Barry Keoghan, who portrays Oliver Quick in the movie, with a Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture nomination. Keoghan is going up against Andrew Scott, Bradley Cooper, Cillian Murphy, Colman Domingo, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Who do you think will be taking the Golden Globe home? My money is on either Barry Keoghan or Leonardo DiCaprio.
Also nominated for the controversial movie is Rosamund Pike with a Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture nod. Pike is nominated along with Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Danielle Brooks, Emily Blunt, Jodie Foster, and Julianne Moore. Rosamund Pike is amazing in the movie, but I think Da'Vine Joy Randolph or Jodie Foster will be winning this race. Don't get me wrong, I love Pike!
Some of my favorite movies starring the actress, include Gone Girl, A Private War, and I Care A Lot, all of which have earned Pike a Golden Globe nomination (she won Best Actress for I Care A Lot). If you'd like to check these movies out, too, stream I Care A Lot on Netflix, A Private War on Prime Video, and Gone Girl on VOD.
Saltburn also stars Jacob Elordi and Richard E. Grant. Don't miss the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 8 p.m. ET, only on CBS.
