Who is Chief at Grey Sloan Memorial in Grey's Anatomy?

There are more changes happening at Grey Sloan Memorial. Teddy Altman has her job back, but is she Chief again in Grey's Anatomy?

Meredith found a way to save the jobs of the people she cared about in Grey’s Anatomy season 21. That didn’t mean everyone would walk straight back into their original positions.

Teddy Altman got her job back at Grey Sloan Memorial in Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 2. Well, she sort of got her job back. As she assumed the role of Chief of Surgery again, Webber shocked her with the news that she was a cardio surgeon at the hospital.

Teddy needed to prove herself to him. After all, she had stolen money from the hospital. Granted, Teddy didn’t realize that Meredith was working on something that Catherine hadn’t signed off on, but she still used the funds without asking enough questions. Webber wasn’t happy, but would he have a change of heart?

Teddy has a whole speech planned for Webber in Grey’s Anatomy

After hearing that she wasn’t Chief, Teddy went to Owen for some advice. She wanted that job again. To be honest, she makes a good Chief. She needs that spot back, and Owen encouraged her to talk to Webber about it.

That’s what she did at the end of the episode. She was ready with a whole speech, but she didn’t get that far.

The minute she told Webber that she wanted to be Chief again, he let her have it. He wasn’t going to argue, and despite her saying that she had a speech, he told her to “take the win.” He wasn’t going to explain why he was backing down, and we didn’t really get an explanation. It’s clear, though, that Winston having faith in Webber’s OR skills is something that is sitting with him. Is this a sign that Webber will be back in the OR?

Will Teddy get to keep her job in Grey’s Anatomy?

Okay, let’s just talk about the ending of the episode, though. How long will Teddy remain as Chief? The end of the episode saw Meredith and Bailey going to Teddy for help to find a scrub nurse and an OR on the sly. Oh, and they could do with an attending to help.

Teddy did not want to get in trouble again. Little does she know right now but this is for Catherine. That should mean that nothing negative comes off the back of this, but we all know what Catherine is like!
