Zende asks Luna to leave RJ (Bold and the Beautiful recap Feb. 20, 2024)

Yes, you read that headline right. Zende, once again, made a pitch for Luna to drop her man RJ and get with him instead on The Bold and the Beautiful. At this point, sir, I'm going to need you to stand up. Luna has been nothing but clear about who she wants to be in a romantic relationship with, and RJ has remained smitten even though it's quite obvious she's hiding something from him.

We were dropped into today's episode at the start of a bright, sunshine-y morning but Luna was still struggling because she hasn't told RJ what happened between her and Zende. He was happy to have spent the night holding her, and she desperately wants to take his word for it that nothing will come between them, but she definitely knows something is sure to change.

She made her way back home only to find Zende and her mom talking in the living room. Zende had arrived at the Nozawa residence hoping to see Luna but instead had to have yet another conversation with Poppy about how he didn't take advantage of her daughter. Poppy has been trying to take some of the blame for what happened off herself but neither Zende nor Luna will let her do that.

Poppy needs for her "mints" not to be the downfall of Luna's first romance, but they just might be. Luna dismissed her so she could talk to Zende, and it's apparent that their relationship is now forever changed. Luna told her mom that she doesn't think they'll be close like they were ever again which broke Poppy's heart.

Seeing how upset Luna is, Zende did share how sorry he is that they're in this situation. However, he did insert a very big BUT into their conversation. He's also of the mind that things are meant to happen, and he's starting to believe that perhaps this was supposed to occur. Zende thinks it will make it easier for her to walk away from RJ and start a romance with him. He asked Luna to leave his cousin.

If Luna had ever shown an ounce of wanting to be with Zende, I could understand him imploring her to give them a chance, but she hasn't. Luna has liked the attention he gives her, and they've been flirty sometimes but that's the extent of their connection, so I'm not sure why Zende is down this bad. In any case, his request might at least inspire her to break up with RJ even if she doesn't get with Zende.

As for RJ, he was at the office. He'd walked into the room after catching his siblings, Thomas and Hope, in the middle of a kiss. As the two don't share a blood relation, the soap has stopped tip toe-ing around letting their brother see them be affectionate. But that doesn't mean it's not awkward for those of us at home whether you like the couple or not. For the characters on this soap, however, it's a day ending in y.

RJ was gushing about Luna as per usual, but he did note that she's been down lately and he just wants to be there for her. The whole family has been supportive of their relationship which is something that Thope don't have since only Ridge and Eric are on their side. This hasn't stopped the two as, after they left RJ to work on his sketch, they went to spend some "quality time" together in the CEO's office.

So far the week is starting slow but things should pick up considering the spoilers!
