Rescue: Hi-Surf isn't new tonight on FOX (what does this mean for the series?)
Mondays have become all about first-responder dramas on FOX. Sadly, there’s some bad news about new episodes of Rescue: Hi-Surf tonight, Monday, Nov. 25.
We’re used to starting off the night with 911: Lone Star and ending it with the new lifeguarding drama Rescue: Hi-Surf. Both shows are taking a night off from new episodes tonight. We’ve also seen FOX change plans for the post-Super Bowl slot this year, with Rescue Hi-Surf no longer getting that spot. This doesn’t bode well for the future of the series.
Why is Rescue: Hi-Surf not airing tonight?
There is some disappointing news for fans of the series. Rescue: Hi-Surf aired its fall finale last Monday. This will be a shock to many as 911: Lone Star still has an episode to go in 2024!
The promo for the next episode is out, but it makes it clear that we won’t get new episodes until January 2025. In some good news, there are 10 new episodes of the series to come. This one is going to stick around for a few months!
Instead, TMZ’s Merry Elfin’ Christmas will air tonight in the 9 p.m. ET/PT slot. Nick Cannon, Flavor Flav, Jay Leno are more will take over the TMZ newsroom for some Christmas fun. It’s a chance to look back at the top stories of the year.
What to expect when Rescue: Hi-Surf returns
There isn’t much to work with at the moment. The promo just gives us a few glimpses of some of the drama to arrive in the new year. We’ll get to see more of Em and Will’s relationship drama. Em is making it clear that she and Will are right for each other. It’s taken her way too long to admit this, and could it be too late? Is Will going to choose someone else?
Of course, there are a few lives on the line, which isn’t surprising considering the show’s focus. However, one episode is about to get explosive when the team find an underwater bomb. They will need to get rid of it before it explodes, but it looks like Kainalu’s life is going to end up on the line from the explosion.
