Somehow, we have already made it to the halfway point of this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing. Yes, that means the back half of the competition and all that comes with it - Blackpool, Musicals Week, and the Final - is on the horizon. But before all that, our couples had to go through Week 7, which surely proved to be an eventful night.

After the previous episode's infamous three-way Dance-Off saw Lawrence and Jowita eliminated, our remaining couples took to the Dancefloor to impress the judges once again, with some fine Ballroom and Latin performances - as well as the Couple's Choice for one fan-favorite couple. However, it is also worth noting that Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu won't be dancing this weekend, as the former suffered an injury during the week.

With all of that in mind, how did our couples perform? Let's dive into our recap of the Week 7 events and find out!

Strictly spoilers and results: Week 7 Leaderboard

What a night! We say that a lot about Strictly but I genuinely mean it when I say: What a night! On a series that has been far too focused on modernizing itself, appealing to a TikTok audience instead of what it was known and loved for, it was Ballroom routines that stole the show tonight: Good, old-fashioned Ballroom routines.

Will and Dianne opened the show strong with a fantastic Quickstep, Bethany and Nancy delivered a lovely Foxtrot midway through, Tabby and Mark gave us a taste of the Latin ballroom with a Paso Doble that served as a huge comeback, and Dani and Nikita brought the house down with a glitzy, showy American Smooth that earned them a well-deserved spot at the top of the Leaderboard. Honestly, when you think of what Strictly is all about, Dani and Nikita's exquisite routine is exactly what it is all about.

On that note, here are the scores that each of the Week 7 dances were given by the judges, and the Leaderboard we were left with at the end of this week's episode:

  • Dani and Nikita danced the American Smooth - 8, 10, 9, 9 = 36
  • Tabby and Mark danced the Paso Doble - 7, 9, 8, 9 = 33
  • Delta and Kai danced the Cha Cha - 7, 8, 7, 9 = 31
  • Lacey and Vito danced the Rumba - 6, 7, 8, 9 = 30
  • Bethany and Nancy danced the Foxtrot - 6, 9, 7, 8 = 30
  • Will and Dianne danced the Quickstep - 6, 8, 7, 8 = 29
  • Graeme and Lauren danced the Couple's Choice - 5, 8, 7, 8 = 28
  • John and Katya danced the Salsa - 4, 7, 7, 8 = 26
  • Cach and Maddie danced the Waltz - 4, 8, 6, 8 = 26

Who is in danger on Strictly Come Dancing 2026 Week 7?

We are officially at the halfway point of this year's Strictly and we're seeing some very interesting things on that Leaderboard. Dani Dyer, who has been blossming into this year's true journey contestant, shone brighter than ever this week, taking her well-deserved place at the top of the Leaderboard. Fans had been worried that she and Nikita might land in the Dance-Off a few weeks back before they got the chance to really show us what they are capable of, but after successfully doing that tonight, they won't find themselves in the Dance-Off.

The rest of the Leaderboard, however, is pretty tight, with just seven marks separating those at the bottom and second place. There are also two ties, which brings those at the top and bottom closer together, meaning that it's going to be even tighter than it should be. And that essentially puts everyone - save for maybe the top 4 - in immediate jeopardy.

Looking at that Leaderboard, it's unfortunately likely that Bethany and Nancy will find themselves in the Dance-Off again. While they have had a very good night with their beautiful Foxtrot, understated routines can often get overlooked and it has resulted in them ending up in the middle of the Leaderboard - which has placed them in danger before. And, as it stands, Cach is probably most in jeopardy of landing in the Dance-Off with them after his divisive Waltz unexpectedly placed him and Maddie at the bottom of the Leaderboard.

We'll have to wait and see!
