Viewers all over the UK have been entranced by the return of The Celebrity Traitors. The biggest show on BBC One returned last week to an incredible 8.9 million viewers, earning the highest premiere numbers of the entire series. And it's only just beginning.
The first few episodes have seen Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama revealed as The Traitors while the Fauthful atempt to determine who they should banish first? And in the mist of all of this, The Traitors recruited James Acaster and murder Amol, kickstarting the game with a definitive bang. The queston is: Is one of them in danger next?
The Celebrity Traitors season 2 episode 3 will see Richard E. Grant attempt to avoid banishment as the majority of the celebrities are convinced that he is a trator after his "I'm a Traitor" joke in the series premiere. Can Maya and James rescue him? And who will be the third episode's big murder: Jerry Hall or Hannah Fry?
Is Richard leaving The Celebrity Traitors?
The heat is on for Richard, with the majority of the Faithfuls pointing out Richard's "I'm a Traitor" comment as the only evidence that they could go for, with even James Acaster and Maya Jama turning on him too. As a result, Richard is indeed the first banishment of the series - making Traitors history, as it's the first time that a Traitor is banished right out of the gate.
The Traitors reconvene in the Turret and are presented with a new opportunity by Claudia: Recruit instead of murder. James and Maya discuss the options and they ultimately decide to recruit - which will undoubtedly cause a major stir as the Faithful are expecting a murder. The three that they settle on: Bella, Hannah, Miranda.
With that, they decide to recruit Hannah, who finds herself torn. If she accepts, she will be under suspicion regardless. But she ultimately accepts, finding it completely bonkers that James and Maya are the Traitors - she never suspected any of them.
Hannah and Jerry both arrive at breakfast in the morning, naturally causing a lot of suspicion as both weren't murdered by The Traitors. Miranda thinks Hannah seems nervous in a new way while Maya attempts to throw people off by suggesting Gerry could be the Traitor. Meanwhile, Bella talks to Julie, with the pair thinking that Myha'la could be the Traitor, while also wondering about Joe Lycett.
Tales from the Crypt
The mission: Four crypts with varying amounts of gold totalling up to £6000. Some of them also store shields, and the contestants must use a battering ram to raid the four crypts, but only two can enter to take the goods. James Blunt took the lead and directed traffic, which everyone thought was great.
Rob and Michel enter the first crypt and find £1000, but there was no shield. Hannah was determined to enter the second one to claim a shield and she did make it in, but Myha'la took it, feeling very guilty afterwards. Meanwhile, Maya and Sharon enter the third one and retrieve a shield each, deciding not to tell anyone. However, the fourth crypt required two shields to free the gold. After some deliberation - with few people refusing to relinquish their secret shields - Sharon and Myha'la volunteered theirs, letting Maya keep hers. The task is successful and the money is won.
Afterwards, Hannah attempts to point out how suspicious Myha'la was acting to throw everyone off. And that sets the stage for the roundtable, with Myha'la opening proceedings by defending herself. The heat is on her right from the beginning but the heat then turns to Terry Hall at some poin. However, Hannah is successfully beginning to turn it around to Myha'la again.
The table votes, with a lot of votes going Jerry's way and a lot of votes going Myha'la's way too. Ultimately, it is Myha'la who is banished, with the reveal that she is a Faithful rocking the rest of the Faithfuls. It rocks the group, most of whom were convinced it would be Myha'la.
The Traitors ultimately decide that they need to make a choice between three people to kill off: Bella, Sebastian Croft (Bash), or James Blunt. And with that, the episode cuts to credits.
