It's been a long wait for The Celebrity Traitors' comeback but we've made it. The second season has been thrilling, entertaining, and surprising audiences since it kicked off on BBC One two weeks back, setting ratings records right out of the gate. With some unexpected surprises already confirmed for the next episode, you can rest assured that the powers that be - and Claudia Winkleman - aren't finished with the viewers' emotions just yet.
As revealed in the closing moments of the previous episode, the upcoming installment will see four hand-picked celebrities venture into the woods to lock themselves in a crypt each, with The Traitors looking to murder one of them face-to-face. However, what the Traitors don't know is that one of them - Leigh-Anne Pinnock - has a key to lock her door, meaning that if they knock on her crypt, no murder will take place for the night.

Into the Woods
"Are we out of the woods yet?" That is the question that Leigh-Anne, Rob, Rimesh, and Ross are undoubtedly asking themselves when locked in their respective crypts, waiting for The Traitors to hunt them. Leigh-Anne is sitting, hoping that Traitors knock on her door - because if they do, they can't murder anyone (as she is protected by the key and The Traitors can't pick a second time).
We kick things off with the reveals that Leigh-Anne is safe and Rimesh is also safe. Claudia tells them in person, resulting in happiness. And with that, we cut to breakfast as everyone finds out which one of the Faithful is murdered. And it turns out that the next celebrity claimed by the Traitors is... Rob Beckett.
Ross is relieved but upset at the loss of Rob. The Faithfuls now suspect that Ross might be a Traitor, which is what the Traitors were hoping for. Romesh, however, is suspicious of James Blunt because he's offering up so many names... which end up being wrong.
Outrunning the Death Parade
In the new mission, they have to open multiple gates to reach Claudia at the other end. But then there's an issue: An army of hooded ghouls, a.k.a. the Death Parade, show up to stay on their trail - if they catch the contestants, they are imprisoned until the Roundtable tonight. The only way to stop them is to cross a line and light a line of fire. If they successfully open the gates, they get the prize money. If the gates close before the two pulling the gates get out, they are imprisoned by the Death Parade. And Romesh and James Acaster are indeed caught.
The players successfully open the second gate. Maya stayed behind, getting claimed by the Death Parade. And for Gate 3, Hannah used her mathematics expertise to figure out the new equation and successfully open the gate. However, the Death Parade claimed Hannah, Jerry, and Joanne. And, with that, the players rushed towards Claudia to light the line of fire and stop the Death Parade. They pulled it off, defeating the Death Parade and claiming £8000 for the prize fund.
Hannah has the opportunity in the Death Parade cage to pitch why James Blunt could be a Traitor, successfully convincing Romesh that she may not be a Traitor. It might have worked, but the Faithfuls back in the castle are still convinced. And, with that, we head back to the Roundtable.
Three people take heat at the Roundtable... and a recruitment happens
Ross gets the immediate heat from Joanne, but he successfully battles the accusations based on the night before - and eveyrthing he had to go through. Joanne made a joke about how it was horrible night even though she wasn't there, which brought unexpected eyeballs on her.
After that, James Blunt and Hannah take questions after that. Both attempt to convince the Faithfuls otherwise. It's Hannah who takes the most heat, and she does a real good job of defending herself, potentially throwing suspicion in a different direction. And, as we reach that moment, Claudia tells them to begin voting.
Romesh kicks things off with a vote for James Blunt, successfully convincing him otherwise. However, Hannah begins taking a lot of votes. Maya votes for Hannah too, which turns the tide against her too, with James Acaster doing the same. And, with that, Hannah is banished.
The Faithful celebrate as Maya and James A reflect on their decision to banish one of their own. Now, Claudia is here to present them with a choice: Seduce a new Traitor or murder a Faithful. They think about recruiting Joanne, Kenny, and Joe. The question is: Which one will they seduce?
They ultimately chose to recruit Kenny, leaving him with a choice of being one of the best Faithful to potentially being a great Traitor. And, with that, Kenny accepts the role, meaning that the Traitors are once again three.
