Things are looking a little different to normal on network TV tonight, Thursday, April 24. A couple of networks are taking breaks from their usual programming.
ABC has the NFL Draft all night, which is certainly something that you’ll want to check out if you’re a fan of football. It’s a major moment to see how the teams will change for the next football season. However, it does mean that all of TGIT is taking a break, and it comes after that shocking death in 911 season 8!
NBC is also taking a night off from new episodes of its top shows. There will be reruns, though, and that includes Found, which will be back with new episodes on Thursdays next week!
4 shows to watch and 1 to skip tonight, Thursday, April 24
If you’re not watching the NFL Draft, you may wonder what there is to check out tonight. Well, there’s still plenty airing across the other networks, and we have a full list of shows to watch and skip.
Start off the night with CBS. While all Thursday shows have been renewed, there are some limited choices when it comes to shows that we are waiting on renewals for. So, tonight is the night to enjoy a full night of comedy and dramedy.
Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage begins the night, and we get to see Mandy attempt to prove herself as financially responsible after her husband and dad call her out on it. This has been a continuous storyline throughout the series so far, as her financial literacy and maturity has taken its toll in various forms.
After that, turn your attention to Ghosts, which will see the mayor turn up. It turns out that the mayor has a connection to one of the ghosts on the property. The title is “I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago,” which takes us back to the 1990s. Could this connect to Trevor, since he was the one to die at Woodstone Manor around that time? Or is it a later connection that only came up as a problem 37 years ago?
Continue with CBS as Elsbeth airs at the earlier time of 9/8c tonight, now that Matlock has wrapped up its first season. The new episode will bring back the mystery surrounding Judge Crawford, and Elsbeth is still looking for evidence that he is a murderer as he inches closer to that federal judge position. Oh, and yes, it has a very similar title as Ghosts, with "I Know What You Did Thirty-Three Summers Ago."
There is a rerun of Elsbeth after that, but I’d recommend switching over to NBC to catch the rerun of Found. This is a rerun of the episode that aired on Monday, April 14, which was certainly out of schedule. There are chances that many people missed it. With the series still on the bubble, catching a rerun as it airs live helps to prove that the series is wanted.
What about shows to skip? Well, Next Level Chef has already been renewed, and it will stream on Hulu the following day.
