Wednesday nights are usually packed with content, and that’s certainly the case this week. Take a look at everything airing on broadcast TV tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 5.
This is going to look slightly different to a normal Wednesday. While CBS is set to bring us Game Show Night, tonight is going to have some changes to the schedule. This is due to something else big that’s coming up this weekend. Things will return to normal next week.
Wild Cards, Super Bowl Greatest Commercials, and more
The change for CBS is all about the Super Bowl. After starting with a new episode of Hollywood Squares at the earlier time of 8/7c, the network will then run into a look back at the greatest Super Bowl commercials so far. This is a standard special programming for networks this time of year, as they all get ready to draw eyes on the biggest football event of the year.
Meanwhile, The CW will start off its new night of programming. Wild Cards season 2 premieres tonight, and Ellis needs to deal with mMax’s betrayal. She was willing to risk everything to divulge information about his brother’s killer, and that hurts! Can their relationship be repaired this season? Is there a way for Ellis to trust Max again?
NBC brings a normal night of One Chicago drama tonight. After the epic three-way crossover event last week, the series is back to its usual lineup. We’ll start with a new episode of Chicago Med, which sees Goodwin deal with the trauma of the attack on her. A lot of shows tend to overlook the trauma of an attack, or usually only focus on it for an episode or two. With some hope, Chicago Med will make a bigger deal about this, showing that it’s okay to get help for trauma and the best thing to do is talk about it.
Chicago PD will see Torres go undercover at a local prison. He’s going in as a prison guard, but he’s going to end up in a rather dangerous situation. Does this remind anyone of what happened to Alvin so many seasons ago?
