2025 has only just started, and some of the networks are giving us plenty to watch. Here’s a look at the Big 5 networks tonight, Thursday, Jan. 2.

Yes, there are some new episodes of top shows. The FOX lineup is back in full swing, and if you’re a comedy fan, you’ll be happy about what’s on tonight. Meanwhile, CBS continues with reruns of some of our favorites and ABC brings a streaming show to our screens again.

Animal Control, Ghosts reruns, and more

Let’s start with the FOX lineup. The network is the first to kick off primetime TV with new episodes in 2025, and we can’t wait! It all starts with a new episode of Hell’s Kitchen. It’s a bit of a special episode as it’s all about Charity Night, with the top eight chefs beginning the week with an International Cuisine Challenge. The charities of choice is The American Heart Association and the Connecticut Chapter of The Special Olympics.

After that, there’s the season 3 premiere of Animal Control. This series needs absolutely no introduction. It’s one of the highlights of our weeks, right? Well, it’s joined by a new comedy that starts up tonight. Make sure you tune in for Going Dutch, which follows a colonel who is sent to the Netherlands due to an unfiltered rant about General Davidson. Of course, everyone knows about his rant and that this is a punishment, but can he make lemonade out of his lemons?

If you’re in the mood for something familiar and just want to relax after a hectic holiday season, then you’ll want to turn to CBS. It’s a night of reruns, with it all kicking off with a rerun of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. We’re going back to the third episode of the season, which sees how important it is for couples to discuss financial issues and goals.

After that, there’s a rerun of Ghosts. We jump into the second episode of the season, which saw Sam’s dad arrive at Woodstone Manor to see his daughter’s success. With Patience around, we got to see her power and how she continues to hold onto her Puritan views.

Fans of Only Murders in the Building will be excited to hear that the second season has landed a linear slot. Three episodes of the second season will air on ABC tonight. This helps to fill up Thursday nights while we wait for TGIT to come back in March.
