As we get ready to say goodbye to another year and hello to 2025, we’re all looking for something to watch on TV. What is on TV tonight, New Year’s Eve 2024, that’s not the Ball Drop?
The good news is that the broadcast networks have some non-New Year programming up until it comes time to count down to the New Year. This is great for those who just want to get ready with some calm and peace before all the excitement. Of course, the Ball Drop is a big feature later on tonight.
New Year’s Eve specials, Kitchen Nightmares, and more
If you want something that isn’t New Year’s Eve focused, then you’ll want to turn to FOX to start the night. There are Kitchen Nightmares reruns for the first couple of hours of programming of the night. We get reruns of “In the Drink” and “Da Mimmo,” which sees Gordon Ramsey go to various restaurants in an attempt to save them. Of course, not everyone wants to listen to his advice on running a business.
NBC also has a couple of reruns to start the night. If you love Tuesday night comedies, then you’ll be happy to hear that there are reruns of St. Denis Medical and Night Court. We’re heading back to the fourth episode of St. Denis Medical, which sees Alex get on the wrong side of the Emergency Department, while Ron and Serena clash over parking etiquette.
After that, NBC will get into the countdown to the New Year. Meanwhile, CBS and ABC will start their New Year’s Eve programming early. Now you’ll want to decide whether you’re watching a country music special hosted by Little Big Town, or if you want a more pop style of music with Ryan Seacrest hosting.
The networks will turn to the Ball Drop and local New Year’s programming after 11 p.m. ET/PT.
