If you’re hoping for something to watch on broadcast TV tonight, Friday, Nov. 29, you may be out of luck. It’s mostly all about the sports. However, there is some fun news for Blue Bloods fans.

It’s Black Friday. We all know that means people are out shopping. Or they’re sleeping off the Thanksgiving fun from the day before. This is a day to relax and spend time with family, so most people probably aren’t watching live TV. It makes sense for the broadcast networks to take a night off the regular programming tonight.

Blue Bloods special and college sports

Three of the Big 5 networks have college football to watch. CBS and The CW are the exceptions, with CBS opting for a night dedicated to Blue Bloods. With the series finale just around the corner, this makes a lot of sense.

We’ll have two reruns of Blue Bloods, with the first airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It’s time to head back to season 14, episode 11, titled “Life Sentence,” which saw the Reagans’ lives intertwine in a case involving potential jury tampering. The last hour of the night is a rerun of season 14, episode 12, titled “Without Fear or Favor,” which saw Danny working with a British investigator to get to the bottom of the case.

What’s on in between the two reruns? Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy is the new special that will air. It commemorates 293 episodes of the series and will give us a chance to look back at those who have left, those still with us, and the meaning of this beautiful show.

The CW starts with Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, and then runs into two episodes of Children Ruin Everything season 4. The comedy series is focused on a couple who have to juggle the highs and lows of parenting. And parents know that there are a lot of lows that we don’t like to talk about.
