Sophia Bush just made her debut on Grey’s Anatomy and wasted no time laying a kiss on another major character!

Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 Episode 6

Grey’s Anatomy has been welcoming some new faces for the last couple of years, such as Natalie Martinez, now a regular as Dr. Monica Beltran. The show is balancing the various characters around yet always room for more to come in. That includes Sophia Bush as the Chicago PD/One Tree Hill star made her debut on the Thursday, Nov. 7 episode and it was wild!

The episode opened with Teddy and Owen trying to have an evening out together amid their busy schedules. They ran into fellow surgeons David Bekman and his wife, Cass (Bush) at the restaurant. An emergency called Owen and David away, and their wives decided to ditch the fancy eating for fries and drinks at a bar.

The two talked about marriages with Teddy confessing she and Owen had been reduced to scheduling when they could get together. Cass admitted she and David had similar problems but saved it…by having themselves be an “open” marriage, which surprised Teddy.

The two kept it up with more drinks before Cass talked of how much fun she was having, then leaned in to kiss Teddy. Teddy was surprised, explaining, “Our marriage is very much closed,” and then leaving a flustered Cass behind to head home.

Is there more coming between Cass and Teddy in Grey's Anatomy?

Teddy told Owen about the kiss, trying to brush it off as just both women drunk and treating it as a joke. Owen, however, was upset by it, wondering how much his wife enjoyed making out with another woman, and stormed out, leaving a flustered Teddy fuming.

It’s unsure how this is going to unfold, as Bush is likely just a small role for now. Cass may return to talk to Teddy about it, clear the air, yet the hints Teddy might have been more intrigued by this than she lets on. Clearly, she and Owen have their problems and Teddy feels she’s being ignored too much by her husband. The idea of opening herself up with another couple in this way is interesting.

Other plots included Levi being offered an attending job but deciding to go for one in Texas; Amelia helped Jo cope with her pregnancy; and just after Mika and Jules were getting closer, the episode ended with a sleep-deprived Mika falling asleep while driving her sister and getting into a crash.

For now, it’s interesting to wonder if Grey’s is setting up a strange love triangle and if Bush’s character may lead Teddy and Owen into a unique turn in their marriage.
